A very busy 24 hours for our members and neighboring depts. we fought a deep seated 2 acre fire off of Selfridge Rd starting at 11pm last night with final extinguishment taking place 13 hours later. Soon after our forestry units went to Winchendon for a 4 alarm brush fire
Due to the ongoing drought conditions, high fire danger and near daily brush fires in our area all outdoor fires are banned in the town of Hubbardston until conditions improve. We thank you for your understanding and hope you work with us in lowering the risk to our community
Truck 4 is currently operating at a large brush fire in the town of Barre. Additional resources from a District 8 Brush Strike Team are enroute. Approximately 4 acres burning

In the span of 30 min this afternoon HFD responded to 3 calls. A1 responded to a serious medical requiring transport to UMass, Truck 4 was requested to Winchendon Rd in Ashburnham for a large brush fire and E2 responded to Acadia Rd in Gardner for a brush fire.
