@plinkyplink@razziabou@davewhelan76 Straight through Ryan Air's online form but actually had to be sent the right link from On the Beach as the other one only accounted for delay or cancellation, not a diversion. I freewrote the complaint, they asked for all sort of proof etc but eventually gave in
@plinkyplink@razziabou@davewhelan76 They have finally refunded me today (after making me jump through a lot of hoops and initially denying all knowledge) Train fare and half the hotel cost reimbursement which I accepted in the end. Hope this works out for others too π
@razziabou@plinkyplink@davewhelan76 yes sorry havent been on for a while....sounds like good news!!! They agreed to pay our train fare but are still arguing over the hotel receipt...I had to ask the hotel to send a new one with more detail

@shunt1972@plinkyplink@davewhelan76 Urgh, its so frustrating..they are pathological liars as well which doesnt help! What do they propose you did then at that time of night? A car rental is surely no more expensive than a train? (we paid 298euros) or a hotel
@shunt1972@plinkyplink@davewhelan76 Yes! They've now offered to pay our train fare after I sent them their own text admitting they hadn't provided transport. No offer to cover the hotel though...whats anyone else's latest?

@plinkyplink@razziabou@davewhelan76 Quick update, I just spoke to ryan air and they said my complaint is still open and will be responded to in the next 14 days. So let see what they come up with π¬
@Ryanair Nice one, did you dump him at the wrong airport at 10pm, tell him to make his own way 350 miles then make it inpossibe to claim the expenses you promised? Because thats what you did to us and 100s of people on Oct 19th. Some diabled.

@plinkyplink@razziabou@davewhelan76 There seems to be no pathway and every attempt is blocked with some blythe email brushing it off. I will call again this morning and see if I can get any further....theyve sewn it all up very nicely havent they? π

@plinkyplink We were told eventually that there were no buses so had to "find our own solution" We managed to get a hotel then a train but there was no duty of care to the elderly or vulnerable at all.
