It isn't. The Equality Act protects nine things age, disability, sex, pregnancy, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender reassignment and marriage. Race covers the white bloke in Clacton. Religion covers the Christian. It's the law that stops your boss binning you for getting old, getting hurt, or getting pregnant.
