Good evening, Nyakundi. I am having a really hard time with Realtime Estates Ltd. I paid rent for March 2024 to move in early March with my family to Olive Tree Apartments in Thindigua. The manager of Realtime said that we should pay the rent and deposit so as to have repairs done and we move in by March 5th. That wasn't the case. They took long with repairs and we moved into this house on March 19th. When we moved in, the repairs had not been finished. That is almost a whole month wasted. I moved to Olive Tree Apartments in Thindigua on March 19th, 2024.

On 3rd April 2024, my power was cut off. So I contacted Njenga and his wife Liz, who are the faces behind Realtime, about why they cut my power, and I've only been here for two weeks. Njenga said it's because I had arrears, and my bill was about 10,600. I was shocked. I have only been here for two weeks, how is my bill 10k? I have never, ever in my life paid an electric monthly bill more than 5k. How is two weeks now turning into a 10k bill? We had a back and forth, and he said tuache kusumbuana, I should pay that bill if I wanted power back. I was hesitant to pay it, and I therefore contacted Kenya Power, who said that the bill was both for February and March and that my March bill was about 3,300 Ksh.

So I confronted Njenga about it, and he had my power returned, and he never apologized for his wrongdoing. So he wanted me to pay a bill that wasn't mine.

This particular house has been having mold problems and leaking. Fixing the leaking was a big problem! I have two kids in this house under 5 years, and they are having a cold every other week because of mold infestation caused by a damp house. I have only been here for 6 months, and today we wake up to find water in our kitchen and washing area.

My husband contacted Njenga, and he says that we should fix the problem ourselves because we didn't find the house like this. Mind you, this house has been leaking since the long rains we had in March and April. We've been complaining, they bring a fundi to do 123, and the problem comes back. This house will eventually fall down in the end because it's leaking, and it's going to become weak.

If you are house hunting and you see REALTIME ESTATE MANAGEMENT at the gate, kindly run very fast because you will not get value for your money. Waiting for my son to close school next month, we move. The agents rarely pick calls, both Njenga and his wife Liz.
