The 25th July is the first ever World Drowning Prevention Day! In April 2021, the first UN resolution on Global Drowning Prevention was passed, which declared the 25th July as an annual World Drowning Prevention Day.

Swimming for Safety in Thanh Hoa Province – to train 200 children in swimming & water safety skills, supported by Topas Travel and the Vietnam Jungle Marathon

If suitable and safe locations are available, open water sites can provide a highly sustainable solution to providing swimming tuition, particularly in low resource rural areas. :)

In 2011, Hue Help developed a model for open water swimming training in partnership with the STA, IFSTA and local partners in Thua Thien Hue province. 10 years later, we are still running and expanding these lessons in Thua Thien Hue province!

Safety is paramount! Our teachers all undergo an intensive 5 day training programme, which covers all aspects of swimming tuition including teaching in open water sites.
