The whole of Israeli leadership, from right to โleft,โ is mourning the death of a settler terrorist who was killed carrying out a pogrom on Palestinian villagers
Completely irredeemable political project
"They think they're above the law. And nobody is going to stop them."
Israeli settler attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have surged past 1,200 so far this year, at an average of six a day. Arson has become one of the most common tactics, with mosques, homes, and cars set on fire nearly daily.
Drop Site's @maysamustafa spoke with Maisoon Ali in the village of Deir Dibwan, who has survived repeated settler attacks, including one where settlers tried to burn her home down while she and her husband were inside. Ali says she has no one to turn to. Not the Palestinian Authority, which has no jurisdiction in Area C, and not the Israeli military, which she says protects the settlers instead. Her only recourse is the country on her second passport, the U.S. โ the same one whose weapons are being used against her.
This week alone, at least 6 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank amid settler violence, 4 of them on Friday in a settler raid on the town of Tell near Nablus.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, that brings the toll since the start of the year to 86 Palestinians killed by Israelis across the West Bank, more than 20 of whom were shot by settlers.
Ben Affleck's mother Chris Affleck passed today. I was unaware of her longstanding activism for Palestine. Now his disgust and revulsion at genocidal Zionist Bill Maher and Sam Harris's deranged racist Islamophobic rants makes perfect sense. RIP, you raised a good son.
If youโre a reporter and you donโt explain to your audience that Israel is trying to buy the Michigan Senate seat for $50 million, youโre not a reporter. If you donโt explain to voters that a lobby for a foreign country is trying to control our Senate, youโre not a journalist.
๐ฅ Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian-owned land near the Shavei Shomron settlement, northwest of Nablus.
The settlement was built on land belonging to surrounding Palestinian villages and sits in an area where residents have faced repeated settler attacks and land seizures.
The arson comes amid a wider wave of settler revenge attacks across the occupied West Bank after five Palestinians were murdered in Tell in a field execution following a settler assault on the village.
More victims of settler violence. How many more lives must be lost before the world acts? Palestinians in the occupied West Bank continue to live unprotected and vulnerable, facing these attacks day after day while the world watches. This cannot become normal. Lord, have mercy. https://t.co/nfdCJwff87 via @AJEnglish
๐จBREAKING: Footage captures the moment an Israeli settler opened fire and killed 4 young Palestinians men as they confronted a settler attack in the village of Tel, southwest Nablus, Friday morning.
Watch as the Palestinian man in the thobe and hat, Sheikh Farouq, confronts the illegal armed jewish settler terrorists, disarms one and uses their weapon to shoot them and defend his land.
May God have mercy on him.
