This is probably one of the most apt and poignant images of what's happening to younger generations. A massive, well off and fed boomer attempting to drown a disabled, smaller, younger man trying to enjoy one of the very small indulgences he has left in life, something that's he allowed to do too (the lake is for residents, of which he is one).
I just find it fascinating the the generation closest to death and Judgment are hoarding everything, taking from the mouth of babes in their final moments, completely forgetting that they cannot take any of their plundered wealth with them when they die. But in their pride, they will "graciously and charitably donate" it once they realize that they have no other option but to relinquish their worldly possessions, so they might as well virtue signal. Fascinating behavior really.
The amount of times I've had boomers unironically say "we're hoarding everything to give to you to inherit!" while being completely blind to the fact that most inheritors will be old themselves at 50+, past the age of being able to easily have their own children to raise and do anything of actual use for the next generation. They won't help their own children with the barest amount when they most need it at 20-30, but they'll rain down "riches" that are no longer of use or needed when their children are 50 and will most likely, die alone.
@ksorbs Property tax is the most transparent tax. It is the tax that voters have the most control over.
Y’all are shooting yourselves in the foot by opposing it
