Cumbemayo Aqueduct, located near Cajamarca in the northern highlands of Peru, is one of the most remarkable and mysterious examples of ancient engineering in South America. Thought to date back to around 1500-1000 BC, it showcases the advanced technological capabilities of its builders. The aqueduct is carved into volcanic rock and stretches approximately 8 kilometers (about 5 miles) through a landscape of unique rock formations and highland scenery.

What makes Cumbemayo particularly fascinating is its sophisticated design. Aqueduct’s path includes sharp angles, zigzags, and even a series of notches that seem to slow down the flow of water, suggesting that the builders had a deep understanding of hydraulic principles.

Moreover, the aqueduct and surrounding rock formations appear to have been intentionally aligned with certain astronomical events, such as the solstices and equinoxes. This alignment indicates that Cumbemayo may have served not only a practical purpose but also a ceremonial one, with its design reflecting a complex understanding of the cosmos.

The interplay between its engineering precision and potential celestial significance adds to the enduring mystery of this ancient site.

Masada is a dramatically located site of great natural beauty overlooking the Dead Sea, a rugged natural fortress on which Judaean king Herod the Great constructed a sumptuous palace complex in classical Roman style. After Judaea became a province of Roman Empire, it was the refuge of last survivors of Jewish revolt, who chose death rather than slavery when Roman besiegers broke through their defences. As such it has an emblematic value for the Jewish people.

It is also an archaeological site of great significance. The remains of Herod's palaces are outstanding and very intact examples of this type of architecture, whilst the untouched siegeworks are the finest and most complete anywhere in the Roman world.

Masada complex, built by Herod the Great, King of Judaea, who reigned between 37 BC - 4 CE, and particularly the "hanging" palace with its three terraces, is an outstanding example of opulent architectural design, elaborately engineered and constructed in extreme conditions. The palace on the northern face of the dramatic mountain site consists of an exceptional group of classical Roman Imperial buildings.  The water system was particularly sophisticated, collecting run-off water from a single day's rain to sustain life for a thousand people over a period of two to three years. This achievement allowed the transformation of a barren, isolated, arid hilltop into a lavish royal retreat.

When this natural defensive site, further strengthened by massive walls, was occupied by survivors of the Jewish Revolt against Roman rule, it was successfully besieged by a massive Roman army. The military camps, siegeworks and an attack ramp that encircle the site, and a network of legionary fortresses of quadrilateral plan, are the most complete anywhere in the Roman world. Masada is a poignant symbol of the continuing human struggle between oppression and liberty.

Masada is a symbol of the ancient Jewish Kingdom of Israel, of its violent destruction in later 1st Century CE and of the subsequent Diaspora. Palace of Herod the Great at Masada is an outstanding example of a luxurious villa of Early Roman Empire, whilst camps and other fortifications that encircle the monument constitute the finest and most complete Roman siege works to have survived to present day. Tragic events during last days of Jewish refugees who occupied fortress and palace of Masada make it a symbol both of Jewish cultural identity and more universally, of continuing human struggle between oppression and liberty.

Due to its remoteness and harsh climate of the southern end of Judean Desert, following the dissolution of Byzantine monastic settlement in 6th Century CE, Masada site remained untouched for more than thirteen centuries until its rediscovery in 1828. Property encompasses remains of site on its natural fortress and surrounding siegeworks. Of equal importance is the fact that the setting of Masada, magnificent wild scenery of this region, has not changed over many millennia. Only intrusions are the lower visitor and cable car facilities, which in their new form have been designed and relocated sympathetically, to minimize visual impact, though siting of summit station, is still controversial.

This is a site that remained untouched for more than 13 Centuries. Buildings and other evidence of human settlement gradually collapsed and were covered over until they were revealed in 1960s. There have been no additions or reconstruction, beyond an acceptable level of anastylosis, and inappropriate materials used in early conservation projects are being replaced. Limited restoration works have been carried out to aid visitor interpretation with original archaeological levels being clearly defined by a prominent black line set in new mortar joints. Certain significant archaeological elements, such as Roman camps and siegeworks, remain virtually untouched. Authenticity is therefore of a very high level.

Tibetan Mastiff - large guardian dog of Tibet, is hidden in mists of legend, along with people of Himalayan Mountains and plains of Central Asia. Accurate records of the genetic heritage of dogs are non-existent.

Even so, history has reserved a special place for Tibetan Mastiff. They are considered by many to be basic stock from which most modern large working breeds have developed. Even though a great deal has been written about them since mid-1880's there are few specific details available.

Earliest written accounts place a large dog around 1100 BC in China. Skulls of large dogs date from stone and bronze ages. Ancestors of today's Mastiff breeds are believed to have accompanied armies of Assyrians, Persians, Greeks and Romans and later, traveled with Attilla the Hun and Genghis Khan as far west as Europe. During these centuries, it is believed that Tibetan Mastiff remained isolated in mountain valleys of Himalayas to develop into magnificent animal so highly prized by people of Tibet.

Today in Tibet, Nepal and other Himalayan regions, a pure Tibetan Mastiff is hard to find. Traveling with caravans of Tibetan sheepherders and traders, dogs are expected to defend tents of their masters against predators such as wolves and snow leopards. Others are used as homestead guardians, chained to gates and rooftops. Prior to early 1800's, few Westerners were allowed into Tibet so little was known about Tibetan dogs. In accounts of visits to Tibet by early travelers, very little mention was made of dogs they encountered. In 1800, Captain Samuel Turner, in his "An account of an Embassy to Court of the Teshoo Lama in Tibet" mentioned his experience with huge dogs. Unfortunately he did not offer a description of dogs.

In 1847, Lord Hardinge, Viceroy of India, sent a "large dog from Tibet" called "Siring" to Queen Victoria. England had its first dog show in 1859; and in 1873, Kennel Club was formed with first Stud Book containing pedigrees of 4027 dogs. In official classification made by Kennel Club (England), "large dog from Tibet" was officially designated "Tibetan Mastiff" for first time.

Two more Tibetan Mastiffs were brought into England in 1874 by then Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) and they were exhibited at Alexandra Palace Show, December 1875. From then until 1928, there was a trickle of imports into England and Europe. In 1928, Hon. Colonel and Mrs. Bailey imported four Tibetan Mastiffs which they obtained while Colonel Bailey was on duty as Political Officer in Sikkim, Nepal, and Tibet. In 1931 Mrs. Bailey formed Tibetan Breeds Association in England and first official standard for breed was adopted by Kennel Club. It was also standard used by Federation Cynological International (FCI) - umbrella organization for all dog clubs in world with exception of Kennel Club in England and American Kennel Club.

From WWII until 1976 there were, apparently, no known importation's of Tibetan Mastiffs from Nepal or India into England. Since 1976, there have been several Tibetan Mastiffs imported into England from various countries and breed has been recognized by Kennel Club in Miscellaneous Class. Breed seems to be well on its way to becoming established in England.

In late 1950's two Tibetan Mastiffs were sent from Tibet to President in USA. They were taken to a farm in midwest and nothing more was heard of them. Beginning in 1970, several Tibetan Mastiffs were imported from Nepal and India into USA. These few foundation dogs have been bred throughout the country by concerned and dedicated breeders.

The close relationship of Tibetan Mastiff with man throughout the centuries has given dog a almost uncanny "human" understanding. Generations of working as a guardian of yak and sheep, requiring always a protector and not a killer, has produced a disposition and temperament of controlled strength, initiative, and fearlessness, tempered with patience, loyalty and gentleness.

1. Paparan racun rokok bisa menurunkan kualitas sel telur dan sperma. Bayi yang terlahir dari bibit yang rendah kualitasnya ini akan lebih sulit tumbuh dengan optimal sehingga risiko stunting tinggi.

2. Janin yang terpapar rokok bisa terlahir cacat, jantung bocor, tidak tumbuh dengan baik terlahir BBLR, komplikasi persalinan dll sehingga kemungkinan gagal tumbuhnya tinggi.

3. Bayi yang serumah dengan perokok punya risiko pneumonia berulang yang jauh lebih tinggi daripada yang di rumahnya tidak ada perokok. Pneumonia berulang ini merusak paru hingga oksigen tidak ter-deliver secara /sempurna ke seluruh tubuh untuk anak tumbuh berkembang dengan optimal.

4. Pecandu rokok dari golongan miskin banyak yang lebih prioritas untuk beli rokok daripada beli makanan yang berkualitas untuk anak2nya.
