@TeachMrReed I find that many students obscure their faces with hats and hoods. I’d really prefer to see said faces so I can adjust the class as necessary. But it is a battle I’ve given up fighting.
It seems we aren’t allowed to have a standard set of rules in Society anymore.

My son is 15

I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby.

I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline.

When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month.

He was raised Catholic, and went to church.

Guess what? He is gay.

The rainbow won’t make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won’t make your kid trans, they are born that way.

If you don’t love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent.

They haven’t failed, you have.

I do not understand the power people think that teachers have over students. It’s absurd. I can’t even get kids to write their names on paper or come to class on time.

I certainly am not creating a squad of people who think like me.

NEWSFLASH: Most Young voters aren’t concerned about:

- Mainstream media
- The opinions of old politicians on social issues
- Hunter Biden doing drugs.
- Traditional gender roles and expectations
- Teachers teaching them about racial injustice.
- Their “right” to own an AR-15.
- Whether someone is religious, agnostic or atheist
- Bud Light putting rainbows on cans or Miller Light promoting women.

What they care about is equality, social media, technology and fairness.

The electorate is getting younger, smarter and more in-tune with technology, not more hateful or more keen to going back to the past.

Stop attacking "Generation Z". They will probably be the ones who stop AI from becoming T-800 Terminators.
