There is a kind of breathless cluelessness evident among the @TGC types and their fellows, evidenced by all the hubbub around @douglaswils and #NQN, and, frankly everything they've published over the last 3 years. It is an apparent failure to see the current world as the Bible sees it. A refusal to admit that things are as bad as the Bible claims they are. Quite frankly, @RevKevDeYoung 's article fails because it misses the actual problem: There is no amount of questionable language and anger adequate to describe the moral horrors of modern America or the treason of American Evangelicalism. We have doctors in our church whose medical licenses are being threatened because they won't mutilate children or affirm abortion. Unmarried "Christians" in our city are sleeping together and then showing up at church on Sunday mornings. Politicians are proposing open-air fentanyl markets and public housing on our streets. Tens of thousands of children are being torn apart by surgical tongs in the wombs of mothers, and crowds gather a block from our church every Sunday to chant "From the river to the sea," calling for the genocide of Jews in Israel. Meanwhile, countless Pastors offer an "All is well, don't worry, feel better" message as millions plunge headlong into hell. In the face of this sort of evil, Evangelicals are concerned that some pastors are too angry? Using words that make them wince? Are you paying attention - people's lives and an entire society are being decimated by lust and idolatry and virtue-signalling- and you are concerned about a pastor using "bad words" to describe it? The shepherds have grown blind and mad. The prophets preach wine and beer (see Micah) - while the world burns.
