I wanna speak my mind on this matter in more detail, so here is why this new system is AWFUL

Before I start, I really don't see the point in people doing "calculations" or continuing them, we don't need a 2000 word essay of fancy words and math to basically say "it's a coinflip at 100 pulls and guaranteed at 200 and will 'help' certain players"

1. Let's start by taking into account your argument of "it is better if you want one student"; BA has been in a state where they do multiple banners for a long time now and it is usually the case both (or more) are students you want or would need for raids, the cases you would need to pull for just one student would typically be if it's a rerun banner, you just care for one of them or you miss one while you got the other, then what? What do you do about new banners of LIMITED students? Take for example Niko and Kurumi, how would you justify this shitty system when they are both limited and you don't have AT LEAST 36,000 pyroxenes saved? "I just want one of them" "I don't care for them" good for you, most of us want to pull both, and if you use the argument "you can get both with 100 each" you are just stupid. Planning your pulls is a MUST in this game, if you go pull blindly and hope to get lucky you are playing the wrong game.

2. Somehow I haven't seen anyone talk about this, but a lot of players also pull for DUPES! It is the case for many where in banners you get the rate up or both students at around 120-150 pulls (this is an example), so seeing you already went above 100 you might as well do a spark for extra elephs and 5 star the student so you can at least UE40 them; THIS WILL NO LONGER HAPPEN WITH THE NEW SYSTEM AND IT'S TRASH.

3. The key difference between hoyo games and this is that the pity in BA will NOT carry over next banners, making this even more trash of a change.

4. FES BANNER!!! You say this system will be good for single banners but WHAT ABOUT FES? During fes, dumping as many pulls as you can is important due to increased rates and how good fes students are for raids. "I'm not a meta player/I don't do raids idc" okay then you are NOT speaking about us, keep your opinions to yourself. Fes is gonna be a nightmare to pull for with the pity system, it is advised to have TWO sparks ready for fes, a whole 48,000 pyroxenes, you pull for everyone you want/need, and depending on how many rolls you are in, you can do more and spark accordingly for anyone you missed or for bonus elephs. If you tell me you are gonna need at least 72,000 pyroxenes for fes and you are okay with it then you just are clueless about the game or a tourist. Get lucky my ass.

If you are fine with this system, you are either clueless, a casual or a tourist. This system does not cater to a "certain type of player", it caters to the executives' greed for more money. Minori will not stand quiet against this capitalistic scheme.
