Springfield and my family knows all to well the sacrifices of these men and women as my Uncle Ronald Hurst gave his life for our county in Vietnam. Today is a day to reflect on his memory and all others who didn’t make it home.
On Memorial Day, we come together to honor and remember the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. These brave men and women selflessly put themselves in harms way to protect the values and freedoms we hold dear.
Everyone deserves a seat at the table and the chance to serve. I humbly thank you for mine and will work to pass the baton to the next generation of leaders coming behind me.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU to the many #TeamHurst volunteers and supporters who believed in our vision to build a more inclusive Springfield that works for all of us. #mapoli#spfldpoli
