I am very actively looking to leave medicine all together. I only became a doctor because it felt human, it was full of learning and working with people is what I do best. I did not however agree to give up my conscience, my right to free speech or ultimately my soul. My experience back in August 2024 under the NHS, forget chilling of free speech - its positively arctic and every day finding out another doctor is under investigation by the GMC for expressing disgrace with Israel - it is just not worth it anymore. Being a doctor is being a humanitarian, or at least it used to be. I want to be able to live with myself after I retire - medicine, the GMC, NHSE won't allow me to do that as long as Zionism continues to have this hold.
