I have zero respect for people who stay neutral all the time. I mean, pick a side. Stand for something. Have an opinion or just admit that you are spineless and stand for nothing.
parents understand their daughters can be victims of sexual assault but can't fathom the idea that their sons can be perpetrators... so they'll "teach" their daughters to do everything to "avoid" rapee but ASSUME that their son will never be a sexual predator.
Girls will suffer unearthly tragedies and still actually run errands the same day with a smile on their face but if a man's parents divorce when he is 12 he will unleash his wrath on the world for the rest of his life
I absolutely hate hate HATE pads adverts. Periods aren't jolly or boss babe moments. They're exhausting, insufferable and excruciatingly painful. We should be getting work day offs not adverts.
Men won’t agree to a male babysitter for their daughters. They’ll get defensive if they see a grown man standing too close to their teenage child. They become anxious when their daughters are out late.
Yet when women speak about patterns of male harm, the response is, “Not all men.”
virginity isn't a thing you HAVE. it's something men INVENTED to TRADE, SHAME, or WEAPONIZE. your worth was never inside your HYMEN, that was always THEIR FANTASY, not your reality
I asked about getting my tubes tied when I was 29 and a male doctor at the practice who wasn’t even MY regular doctor said I shouldn’t because I have an IUD and my husband may want kids later.
I was neither engaged nor married at the time.
I just went to get an IUD consultation at a gynecologist and she goes, we can do it here, but just so you know, we don't numb. We won't numb your cervix here. And I go, why? And she goes, because the doctor at this clinic doesn't allow it. And I said who is that doctor? She pointed towards a male gynaecologist & said “dear even if I request it, he won't allow it”. And then i asked that male gynaecologist why he won't allow it, he told me because apparently, according to him, that's actually not even where the pain's coming from. So it doesn't even make sense to numb the cervix. i said its painful and he replied “its a part of being a woman”
This is actually a deeply heterosexual thing to say--he values other men as equals but desires women sexually (while reducing them to sex objects and otherwise despising them). This is classic straight male homosociality; these men aren't misogynists because they're secretly gay.
