Today, Elder class enjoyed their trip to the SS Great Britain. We learnt all about Brunel, his life as an engineer and his inventions.

As mathematicians we have been learning about difference. We learnt that difference is the result of subtracting one number from another.

This week, Elder class enjoyed their first visit to forest school!🌲

As scientists, we continued learning about states of matter. This week we looked at how some solids can change to a liquid and back again. We melted ice and chocolate in our hands and observed how both melted into liquids 🧊🍫

As writers, we went on a treasure hunt, following golden coins that had mysteriously appeared outside our classroom. When we followed the trail of coins it led to a treasure chest bursting with gold and gems. Who left their treasure here? 🏴‍☠️

As scientists we have been looking at states of matter. We categorised objects depending on whether we can change their shape or not.

As sportspersons, we have been working on our team building and talking about why teamwork is important in sports. This week we focused on trust.

We have enjoyed writing our final publishing of year 2! We have written persuasive letters asking for a healthy packed lunch in year 3. 🍇🥪🥛
