Today, we mark the birthday of #YalkunIsa, the brother of @Dolkun_Isa —former WUC President, Current President of @UZDM_eV and a prominent Uyghur activist.
#YalkunIsa has been arbitrarily detained by Chinese authorities for years, with reports indicating he is serving 20 years prison sentence on politically motivated charges.
His case reflects a broader pattern of collective punishment, where Uyghur families are targeted in retaliation for the peaceful advocacy of their relatives abroad.
On this day, we stand in solidarity with the Isa family and all Uyghur families separated by repression. We call on the Chinese authorities to immediately disclose his whereabouts and ensure his release.
Today at the UN forum in New York, I delivered a statement bringing renewed attention to China’s systematic repression and policies targeting the Uyghur people.
This video is more than a speech—it is a voice for millions who have been silenced
“Many people are still arguing over whether Zhang Youxia has actually been arrested. I want to once again tell readers at home and abroad that the news of Zhang Youxia and 17 other senior military officers being arrested is absolutely accurate. This includes General Liu Zhenli, General Xiao Tianliang, and Lieutenant General Zhong Shaojun, among others.
“The arrests were jointly carried out by the Ministry of Public Security’s Special Service Bureau, the Central Guard Bureau, and the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection—amounting to a heavyweight military upheaval.
“Next, a large number of major generals, lieutenant generals, and even division-level officers will also be arrested.
“The news of Zhang Youxia and others being arrested was already briefed to provincial- and ministerial-level officials yesterday afternoon, and today it will be conveyed to vice-provincial-level officials.”
The above is the latest post from Cai Shenkun @cskun1989.
Finally, the UN’s Special Procedures admit what the world already knew: Uyghur genocide and Chinese atrocities are real. But let’s be brutally honest—IT’S WAY TOO LATE. The UN sat silent for years while millions suffered.

This is HUGE is true.
Breaking: Unverified report: Vice Chairman of the CCP’s Central Military Commission Zhang Youxia, Chief of Staff of the Joint Staff Department of the Central Military Commission Liu Zhenli, and Former Director of the General Office of the Central Military Commission Zhong Shaojun were arrested at the same time.
Also arrested were all family members of Zhang Youxia. This has been notified to the high-level officials within the CCP.
In addition to being absent from the opening ceremony of the special seminar for major provincial and ministerial-level leading cadres to study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Party, Zhang Youxia also missed the originally scheduled annual activity of the National Defense University.
More importantly, when former Deputy Chief of the General Staff General Wei Fulin passed away, the wreath sent Zhang Youxia was also notified to be temporarily removed.
The above was posted by independent Chinese commentator Cai Shenkun, who previously reported about the arrest of former CCP defense minister Li Shangfu ahead of official media.
Press Release: WUC URGES @Keir_Starmer TO RAISE UYGHUR GENOCIDE DURING HIS VISIT TO CHINA

‘’This is a great opportunity for the UK to directly engage with the Chinese government on human rights issues, and table concrete expectations'’, said WUC President @TurgunjanAlawd3.
‘’The UK has long voiced concerns in multilateral spaces, and we expect it does the same in its bilateral exchanges with China.’’
Urgent call: The Kazakh government is trying to prosecute innocent activists whose family members have been tortured in China’s camps via a secret trial. This is absolutely unacceptable. I hope all governments weigh in stop the 🇰 government from making a mockery of justice.
