Almost a week later & we're still reflecting on the joy & the conversations from our #menstrualhygieneday celebration in Kibra.
Through games, mentorship & honest dialogue, girls were reminded that periods are normal, dignity matters & their voices matters.

This week, we are reflecting on wellbeing & lasting impact of mentorship.
Girls opened up about stress & emotions while learning coping strategies like grounding & journaling. Teachers also noticed stronger peer support & reduced stigma.
Partner with us & be part of this change.
As we reflect on our 2025 mentorship program, this week highlights Confidence &Voice.
Through Speak-Up Sessions, Dream Walls, Strength Trees &Affirmation Circles, girls began to open up.
A powerful reminder: Confidence isn’t just about being heard but believing you deserve to be.
2) We saw confidence grow as girls began managing their #MenstrualHealth &challenging stigma &harmful myths.
When girls have accurate info, they navigate adolescence with dignity, confidence &self-respect.
No girl should be left behind due to lack of knowledge.
#HerVoiceMatters
1) This week we reflect on the power of knowledge & dignity.
For many girls, menstruation is surrounded by silence &misinformation. In our sessions, they learnt &understood their bodies openly without shame.
Support this work so more girls can access the info they deserve.
#SRHR
Last year, we ran a mentorship program in Kibra, Huruma & Mathare, reaching 316 girls on confidence, wellbeing &SRHR.
We created safe spaces for girls to speak & grow. Over the next weeks, we’ll share on this impact.
More girls still need this. Partner with us!
#HerVoiceMatters
Real change begins when girls are given the rights, support & opportunities to thrive.
This #IWD2026 , we celebrate the power of investing in adolescent girls because when we give them access, mentorship & safe spaces, we gain a future of stronger leaders & more just communities.
From intergenerational dialogues to creative & advocacy labs, one message was clear: youth are not leaders of tomorrow, they are leading now.
We’re leaving inspired to keep amplifying voices that matter because when youth lead, the world listens.
#GenderJustice#ClimateJustice
We were proud to stand with changemakers at the 3rd LightUp Impact conference uniting voices for gender and climate justice.
Over 2 inspiring days, we connected with incredible young leaders and grassroots movements driving bold solutions for a more just and sustainable future.
We were honored to host the Stichting Dioraphte team via @shesthefirst whose support continues to help us reach more girls in informal settlements with safe spaces to learn, lead & thrive.
Here’s to the girl who dreams, leads & becomes the change she wants to see.

Girls know firsthand their problems & what they want. That’s why we must incorporated them into changemaking programming as equal partners shaping solutions. When we put their voices at the center, we design responses that are transformative.
#DayOfTheGirl#IDG2025@HVMKenya
This year’s theme on this #DayOfTheGirl 2025 feels personal. Girls, when given space, information & love, lead in how they care for each other, how they show up, how they dream.
