@Ezechinyere_Ugo@obyezeks He didn't lead a protest under Jonathan. All you guys do is kie, and transfer frustrations. He did a prayer walk in 2020 as directed by CAN, Buhari was president. He is 84 now, and you want him to lead a protest, is your father not alive to lead it?
God has issues with SIN because He can't behold it. His issue is not with SINNERS, and no human can actually fix their sin problems; the implication of that is that no human can experience God. But since God loves and wants us, He had to address SIN all by Himself.
I will use a simple analogy for the concept of salvation in Christianity.
God is a JUST and MERCIFUL judge.
You are standing in front of a judge for a traffic offence, the penalty is for you to pay $500 or be jailed if you can't afford it. The judge notices from your pleas that you are unable to afford it; he can't just ask you to go free, that will not be just, so he steps down from his seat and hands you the $500, and then tells you to pay, and when you pay, you become free. The judge executed just Justice and Mercy by that act.
Now, imagine being an offender who refuses the $500 from the judge and then decides to be jailed; that is on you.
People will go to hell not for what they do (The sin of commission), but for what they didn't do (which is the sin of omission). Rejecting Christ is you crucifying him all over again, rejecting Christ is you trying to pay with your blood, rejecting Christ is you rejecting salvation, rejecting Christ is you saying what Christ did was not for you, or not enough.
Again, John 3:14-20
14-15. Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him
16. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Godโs one and only Son.
19. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
20. Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
Fuilfill meaning
Greek: ฯฮปฮทฯแฟถฯฮฑฮน (plฤrลsai)
Verb - Aorist Infinitive Active
Strong's 4137: From pleres; to make replete, i.e., level up, or to furnish, satisfy, execute, finish, verify, etc.
There is the law of sin and death, or the ceremonial laws, which Moses brought, comprising approximately 600 of them. If you break one, you have broken all, and there is the law of God (the 10 commandments that Jesus summarized into 2). In John 14:15, Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments, and these commandments are centred around love.
However, Christ redeemed all from the curse of the law (The law of sin and death). If we check Psalm 60:3; Psalm 75:8; Isaiah 51:17; Isaiah 51:22; Jeremiah 25:15; Obadiah 16; Revelation 14:10, we will see the reason why Jesus prayed the "the cup pass over him" prayer in Matthew 26:39.
And on the cross, He said it is finished, fulfilling the requirement of the law and satisfying God's wrath at the same time. One of the proofs was the temple veil tearing into two by itself, signifying direct access to God as Father.
The commandment of love we are to keep is for ourselves; they are not necessary for salvation, because without salvation, you can't keep them, so it's not the other way around, and no, Paul did not contradict Jesus. Paul was chosen because He knew the law so well, he could interpret it well, and after the encounter, he began to see Christ in the light of the law; he could see what the disiples couldn't see. Also, because he was Roman, he was the perfect person to preach to the Romans and other gentile nations.
Christ chose and anointed him, Ananias baptized and prayed for him, and the disiples accepted him.
In fact, anyone who has issues with Paul has to be an antichrist.
Why are you quick to call people names though? Are you retarded and only projecting? Just answer a simple question. If he didn't die, who did?
Ask questions, don't just say we don't know, because whoever wrote that fake book couldn't copy correctly. The stories that Jesus didn't die were from a gnostic text that your prophet heard, of course, he couldn't read, he had to rely on what people said, even if they were lies.
According to the gnostic text he copied, Jesus was fully God, and so, there is no way God could have died, so God made someone to look like Jesus. That's what your prophet wrote down
History proves that Jesus died and was resurrected, and reappeared to the disciples again. But your fake religion came 600 years later to say, "Oh no, He didn't actually die, but it was made to appear so."
But you all are trained not to ask questions. The question you should ask is, Why would God deliberately deceive people? Last time I checked, Satan is the deceiver
Bart Ehrman is your standard now? If yes, then you have to agree with him when he also said Jesus Christ was indeed crucified and ressurected contradicting your own Quran.
Don't cherry pick his words since he's your standard, you have to take all.
Secondly Paul never said there was no need for law, neither did Jesus say we should continue with the law. But you guys read to argue and not to understand. When we say Law, what is the law exactly are we referring to?
Yeah, if you look at it, you are right, those jews were smarter, that's why they could quickly sense blasphemy because they were learned, but the disciples were not. After the resurrection of Jesus, He had to rebuke two of them for being slow to understand basic things written about Him, beginning with Moses and then the prophets.
Even when he told them, "Destroy this temple and in 3 days, I will raise it up, they didn't get it that He was talking about his death, burial, and resurrection. And in Matt 12:40, when he was explaining the foreshadowing of Jonah being in the fish for 3 days and 3 nights, they still didn't get it.
However, the good thing is that the disciples eventually came to know a great deal after the event of Pentecost, just as Jesus had promised them that the Holy Spirit would remind them and teach them things too difficult to understand.
And even now, without the Holy Spirit to help you, the Bible will be easily misinterpreted.
Remember, Jesus was killed for blasphemy.
Lol. Only if you are willing to learn though, but you all read and fail to understand, I wonder how you pass exams.
Joseph vs. Mary's Lineage: The most common scholarly explanation is that Matthew records the genealogy of Joseph (Jesusโ legal father), whereas Luke records the genealogy of Mary. Since ancient genealogies were typically patriarchal, Josephโs name would appear in both, but he is listed as the biological son of Jacob in Matthew and the "son-in-law" (or legal son) of Heli in Luke.
Kingship vs. Humanity: Matthew traces the line through Davidโs royal son Solomon to emphasize Jesus' royal kingship and Messianic claim to the throne of Israel. Luke traces the line through Davidโs son Nathan to highlight Jesus' biological humanity and universal saviorhood, tracing His ancestry all the way back to Adam.
Levirate Marriage: Ancient scholars like Eusebius suggested the discrepancy exists due to the Jewish tradition of levirate marriage (where a brother marries his deceased brother's widow to carry on the lineage). This would result in Joseph having both a biological and a legal father in the ancestral record.
Also, since the Bible is silent on what happened to Joseph the carpenter, we can infer that he died and Mary had to marry his brother. Meaning a dsiciple like James could be Jesus' half brother
Are you inventing a Dilemma Now? lol. He died for a reason. He rose to show you death could not hold him down. And by believing in him, you have a right standing with God the Father.
The Gospel is too simple, so you want to make it complex for yourself by inventing your own religion that takes you farther away from God.
Just keep reading, and you will come to the light of Christ. Some of us were once like you
My God is Satan? Lol.
If you can read, you'd see Jesus prayed to the Father, because He isn't the Father, He is the Word who became flesh, even your book calls Him the Word of Allah cast down to Mary, but your brain is too small to comprehend a writing as simple as that.
- In Matthew 28:19: Jesus commanded us to make disciples, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Note that it's NAME, not NAMES)
- During the baptism of Jesus in Matthew 3:17, the voice of God was heard, and the spirit of God was seen descending like a dove, announcing Jesus as the Son to the people present.
- In 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are ONE
- In Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God, the Lord is ONE! (Lord and God mentioned 3 times, not a tautology)
ONE here in Hebrew is Echad, not Yachid
ONE here is the same ONE used in "Husband and Wife shall become ONE flesh"
God is ONE in essence, but Triune in being.
- He said Let US make man in our image
- In Genesis 1, God spoke, and we saw His Spirit hovering over the deep.
But the issue with some of you Muslims is what is called the "Fallacy of personal incredulity", because you can't understand the trinity, therefore it is not true.
The Devil really works overtime on you guys, by robbing you of a chance to have a relationship with God as a Father, which is the reason why the Jewish leaders killed Jesus in the first place.
@lamagnefica@enesovat22 Firstof all, Allah is not a father in any sense, whether logically, metaphorically or literally
Secondly, Jesus is not the Father
Thirdly, the event that followed the prayer you all quoted was his crucifixion, which you all deny.
So again, our God is not your Allah
