Wrapped up my favorite week of the year: MPs Workshop for Early Career Researchers! While there was a strong focus on science communication and career development skills, we didn’t miss out on all the latest scientific developments in the field either 😉 Till next year! 😍
I had a great time presenting about #microplastics in the environment and the Reno-Tahoe area last Thursday for the Sierra Club Toiyabe Chapter! Great way to flex some science communications skills and answer some great questions!

@HydroHan@DRIScience@HydroHan will be comparing microplastic concentrations between the Truckee River and the Lower Colorado River Basin. She is a master's student working with @MicroplasticM & the Microplastics Lab at @DRIScience. Special shout-out to GPHS PhD student #KrishangiG for helping out!
Had a great time this summer participating in an @NSF international research experience in El Salvador found through @CUAHSI! In a team led by @michigantech, we studied the dry corridor, la canícula, and flash-flooding in California, El Salvador. Truly awesome experience!
