@CODUpdates You guys are clueless. This is a perfect time to remove them and say good riddance. Just one of many failed features forced on Warzone for the “Black Ops experience.” Y’all need to learn how to pivot quickly when garbage like this doesn’t end up being received well
Exactly what I’ve been saying this whole time. Compared to MW19 and MW3 movement, omni takes basically half the inputs to take a chall or even run away from one. The fact that you can sprint mindlessly in any direction has stripped intention out of the system. Less intention = a smaller skill gap
Omnimovement doesn’t make the game harder, it makes the game easier.
How has this myth that omnimovement equals higher skill ceiling lasted this long?
It literally lets the worst player move fast in any direction instantly without having to change their POV and sightline.
Less decision points, less skill.
Modern Warfare 4 MP Movement:
- No omnimovement, IW says Modern Warfare can 'be different from Black Ops'
- Slide canceling, slide to ADS
- Tac Sprint, but now "realistic" as you see your character lose stamina
- Supine slide - dive into backwards prone
- Mantling keeps guns up
- Ledge hang
- Operator "reacts" to environment, your weapon angles as you approach walls, doors, etc
- Can climb up on poles, jump from ladders to windows, and more
Take down the servers for a week a month however long. Bring back the MW3 engine/gameplay.
Get rid of Omni.
Rotating resurgence playlist with Rebirth & Vondel.
Nuke rewards back.
Resurgence ranked on keep and big map ranked on Al Mazrah.
Bring PRDs and Porty Zips back.
Weekly events/camos that are worth grinding.
Monthly meta change.
OG Perk System, make it possible to run a good high alert, sleight of hand, mountaineer, quick fix.
Revert the buy station change, $8k for a uav is insane.
Slower ttk, we don’t need to be gladiators but should have the opportunity to turn on someone sitting in a corner.
These changes alone would make the game SIGNIFICANTLY better. This is a free skeletal outline of how to make cod somewhat fun again. PLEASE ITS NOT THAT HARD!
@Yamer07@oCrimson@Metaaphor You said “Raven copied” implying that they deliberately chose to implement the mechanics. Put together a coherent sentence and maybe someone will take you seriously
So you’re meaning to tell me that we’re living in an alternate reality where Treyarch’s shitty mechanics and assets didn’t get implemented into Warzone over the last 2 years and that Treyarch took no part in creating the Black Ops Royale experience? Raven has never been in charge of core game mechanics. Whichever studio that handles the current title Warzone is hosted in is the one that calls the shots on major gameplay features like movement, gunplay, sound and even visual and art direction. You either definitely have CTE or have never played Warzone in your life if you’re taking Dev Talks at face value. Get on somewhere
You have severe CTE. Treyarch's entire gameplay philosophy with BO6 and BO7 was implemented into Warzone just like how MW2 and MW3 was with IW and then Sledgehammer. Omnimovement and nearly everything Treyarch does doesn't fit Warzone's idenity, including this Blackout junk. If Treyarch doesn’t have the influence you claim, then why were the creators who playtested Blackout invited to the Treyarch studios instead of Raven? Answer is obvious. Side note, Raven wasn't even in charge of the weapon balancing towards the end of MW3 Warzone. Not sure if that's still the case, but it goes to show how little influence Raven has had on the actual product of Warzone over the last few years. They've just been playing cleanup crew trying to fix whatever dogshit Treyarch implements into Warzone
There’s a lot of justified slander around MW19 but the movement slander will NOT be tolerated. I felt like I had to resurface this comparison because it’s comical how sluggish omnimovement animations are while MW19 mechanics are actually fluid and snappy
Everybody talking about MW19 propaganda but if I’m not mistaken the game was pretty well received toward the end of its lifecycle. I even recall people preferring to play it during Cold War and Vanguard’s lifecycle. Don’t get it twisted, the game was horrible when it first came out, but I think it grew on people once they adapted
So you’re a self-proclaimed casual rather than a real casual. Because if you were a real casual, SBMM would be working for you, not against you. If you’re purposely segregating yourself into a separate game mode in hopes of getting less sweaty players, then you’re not as casual as you think you are. Real casual players are better off being protected by SBMM, not a game mode that players of any skill can queue into
