Stop A/B testing thumbnails ON LAUNCH (let me explain...)
It’s one of the dumbest decisions you can make
because during launch, every impression matters
and if one thumbnail is even a little weaker, you are literally wasting part of your testing phase on a lower CTR option
If thumbnail A gets 1.3% CTR on 50k impressions
and thumbnail B gets 3.9% CTR on 50k impressions
you just lost 2.6% CTR
you didn’t “test”
you just threw away thousands of potential plays by giving half your impressions to the weaker thumbnail.
I’m not saying don’t A/B test.
You absolutely should.
Just don’t do it on launch.

but how do I know which one is the strongest?
here is what you can do:
1. thumbnail A/B testing sites
2. upload both on youtube, compare CTR (or check CTR on videos with similar thumbnails)
3. ask your audience (inside your discord server)
then test after launch when the risk is lower

Imagine you start with $100
Every month that money increases by 10%
Month 1: $110
Month 2: $121

At Month 100 you would have $1,378,061
Why? Because exponential growth increases based on the total number
This means your number starts off growing slowly, then grows faster as your total increases
It’s the same logic behind investing
But the real magic comes when you use exponential growth for an upgrading system
With random guesses (BAD)
- New players leave early due to slow gameplay
- Veteran players get too strong and get bored then leave forever
- You get 0 tabs due to bad metrics
With exponential growth (GREAT)
- The early levels hook players with easy upgrades
- The later levels keep them playing for longer
- You get your own tab like Ali-A*
Next time you create a game, use this formula for exponential growth
Cost = StartingCost * GrowthRate ^ level
Want an addictive growth rate? Use anything between 1.05-1.30
Want to make your players mad? Make your growth rate 2.0 (Doubles every level)
