@LKD_NINJA They have some of my personal info, but they got no money out of me and I got my PC back to working order finally. Just some small bugs here and there I will have to fix when they come up im sure
Gonna be skipping another post today since im not in the right headspace. Yesterday I was stupid and trusted a link from a friend. TLDR I reinstalled windows and been setting up EVERYTHING for the last 10ish hours and still have more
#fuckhackers
@_rina_223 I agree, and honeslty im not sure how to respond as im horrible with style names and stuff
Come check be out on stream tho and you'll see what style I like to wear!
I'll be live on twitch this Thursday 3pm pst!
@trinity_vrc@BrokenBrickVR Correction, the Left conrtoller is always in stock, but the right one has been out of stock for many months. Sadly the right one is the one I REALLY need since its falling apart
absolutely insane that the best VR controller is basically only available from third party sellers and that no one can make a better controller because valve patented the best feature (the grips)
valve you have infinite money please just make a V2 or license out the patent to bigscreen or something
Index to Steam frame for vrchat: first impressions after 4 hrs in vrchat.
Operating a new overlay was frustrating - it’s different enough from index that you feel like you’re having to learn something new
You have to click both inside triggers to enable the laser mode when pulling up the steam overlay - this took me a very frustrating amount of time to figure out and feels like a totally unnecessary addition.
Steam overlay would sometimes not go away and you had to play a game of “click the overlay button on other controllers” to try and get it to go away
Overlay keyboard still sucks - no improvement. Xsoverlay still required for any productive typing
Not having the headset even recognize in the lighthouse environment is such a huge upset - steam has such an opportunity here to sync the playspace of steam vr devices the way index does with a wireless headset with just a few IR emitters in the faceplate. Why they didn’t do this is absurd.
Without lighthouse recognition, it makes no sense why I wouldn’t just buy a prismXR router and a quest 3 at this point - I’m going to have to strap a tracker to the headset anyways, I might as well do it to a headset I didn’t pay $1500 for.
The controller hand “base resting” pose is 1:1 accurate. Sadly this means that if you want to close your hand in VR you have to click every single button with all your fingers. Otherwise only your ring and pinky finger can close all the way
Battery life wasn’t impressive - 2 hours and I was having to sit down and tether for power. Recommend a belt mounted battery pack.
Face interface was sweaty from just sitting - can’t imagine physical activity - mask doesn’t breathe at all and this thing does generate heat
Audio died completely at one point - had to restart the device entirely to fix.
I can hear the fans as well which is new and ruins the immersion every time I hear them stop or start.
At the end of the day it just feels like an over priced quest 3 woth battery strap - with less features.
@_rina_223 definitely an easy way into personalizing avis.
Honestly those that I have worn the most are un-edited. Tasha and Nyx have been my go-to lately and they are default avis from their creators.
Recently I got Yip though and added an outfit to her and she's been super cute
@_rina_223 I like trying avis from creators, though I have really loved Foxipaws avis.
If I do customize any, I just look for community made textures and assets, or will try to do some basic texture/shader edits myself.
@_rina_223 Brain just kinda went derp after a while XD
Thank you! She is Nebula by Foxipaws with an Anubis texture.
She's not my main, but she is one of my favorites, especially of my furry avis!
