@ProspectsUsmnt@ProspectsUsmnt you are one of the better followers in USMNT Twitterverse. But your insistence on Weah being a productive player needs a rethink. His entire game is speed and he obviously has lost a step. He showed no skill, no first touch, no vision last night. Worst on field.
@QuietKid611@FOXSports@USMNT Head to head is first tiebreaker at this year’s World Cup. Goal Differential is second tiebreaker - thus Morocco and Brazil which tied their match.
@MusialaEra Messi has made Argentina the second most popular team for many Americans. He unites all aspects of our culture. He respects the US. And he feels that support. If somehow the USMNT plays Argentina, hope the score is USA 3, Argentina 2 with both goals by Messi.
FOX needs to shorten these hydration break commercial pods and “two box” the pod with live huddles and on-field getting ready to restart. Full screen breaks are not a good viewing experience. And the return to action is way too abrupt.
@SportsCenter@stephenasmith@notthefakeSVP The Spurs picking up half court was as suffocating as Game 1 and 2. But the Knicks answer was to pick but rarely roll. There was no movement last night at all. No back picks. No back door cuts. So Brunson has to initiate offense at 8 seconds on clock.
@11Yanks We need to channel the intensity of Jermaine Jones, the poise of Eddie Pope, the confidence of Eric Wynalda, the daring of Clint Dempsey, and the skill of John O’Brien.
@YanksAreComing Look at Steve Ralston. Scores the winning goal in qualifier vs MEXICO and then was only alternate on 2006 team. And he was member of Gold Cup winning teams in 05 and 07. He was the one I remember. Coincided with the meteoric rise of a young Revs teammate.
@11Yanks This team will need at some point Gio magic and Seb to step up. Who would have thought that 4 years ago? And, uh, Johnny was a lock if healthy.
@MotorCityBanter I was there with my two younger brothers who are both Wolverines. The two best players were Brady and Shaun Alexander. Brady’s will and vision were so evident. We left thinking second round. I guess all the NFL teams had Y2K issues and did not see that game (or the Buckeye game)
@SOTUWithAlexi@AlexiLalas@FOXSoccer Clint scores in each World Cup and his run was key in Landon’s goal. Clint scores vs the Netherlands. Pulli needs big WC to join him. I choose 02 John OB or ‘14 Jermaine instead of Tab whose ‘94 was cut short by Leonardo’s elbow.
@atTheTrack7 The top horses competing less frequently is like a great MLB starting pitcher now going only 6 innings vs the Pedro/Maddux era or an NBA star sitting out for load management that you would never see in the Jordan/Kobe eras (until Pop and the Spurs). The fans lose.
@UnfilteredSoccr The best lineup against top teams will be Johnny and Tyler in the double pivot. I would also note that the relationship between Johnny’s club coach and national team coach is a factor none of these USMNT legenda are considering in evaluation.
Breaking from @PeteThamel: You may not agree with this detailed 24-team @bigten playoff proposal obtained by @espn and being circulated within the league. But it is well researched, taking into account more on-campus games, planning around NFL and keeping the season the same length. Making up for lost conference championship game money would be huge but kudos to Tony Petitti. This is, well, close to being brilliant. https://t.co/87395DPQMZ
