@MarkJCarney I hate these self-promoting photo ops. They don’t impress anyone and don’t real work. What impresses me is measurable deliverables, not word salads.
These are the dummies we put in parliament. Both Energy and Agriculture prices have climbed dramatically since Jan 25, naturally so have wholesale exports. The magic number is units shipped, did that increase? They don’t post that number!
Canada’s trade momentum is building.
In April, we posted a $2.7B trade surplus. Our largest since January 2025, with exports up by 17%.
Exports hit a record $75.2B . Energy up 9.7%. Agriculture up 9%, the highest since January 2025.
Our trade diversification efforts are working.
More exports. More growth. More momentum.
And we’re just getting started.
Carney: The new world order will be built from Europe. Canada is the most European of non-European countries, and we are transforming our cooperation with the EU ... In a more dangerous and divided world, Canada has chosen to build and work in partnership with Europe.
@WolfgangRichtEU If we can get governments to reduce spending by 15% per year, there’d be lots of money for your causes. Stop blaming the issues on the rich guys, all they did was make good business decisions and took a lot of risk, risk/reward baby.
@vesperdigital I actually like Tom, he’s would have made a good liberal leader. Unfortunately for Tom, his TDS clouds his judgement. Trump, whether you like him or not, calls the shot on the world stage. Get over it.
@ambermac For every dollar we pay for oil and gas industry, we get 20 x return. Media gives us nothing in return of wealth. Media in Canada is corporate welfare.
@DLeBlancNB@GovernorShapiro@melaniejoly You love meeting like-minded liberals like yourself. How does this help Canada. You and your idiot leader fucked us, and you have nothing to fix the problem you created.
@travisakers A teacher, who we need, does not contribute to wealth of an economy. They are needed, but they don’t create wealth. Elon and Jeff create wealth. I vote for wealth creation.
@SenWarren Good for Elon, the American dream in reality. What’s your fucking problem. Are you angry, Elon created a company that produces wealth for many or are you angry that you didn’t profit?
"Invest $750 million to drastically expand year-round Canadian production of fruits and vegetables, including through greenhouses, vertical farms, and other enclosed growing spaces."
Think outside the box. @PierrePoilievre is stuck on "Axe some tax" chant. Tiring.
This is Gator Gum, who 100% agrees with what PMMC does and is 100% opposes every idea that Pierre has. I’m a conservative, there are somethings I agree with and others I do not, from both parties. Spending another borrowed $3.2B to fix a problem, the liberals created, but will have no measurable results, is not a good idea.
Mark Carney wants to increase domestic food production.
Good for jobs. Good for farmers. Good for grocery prices.
Pierre Poilievre is whining about "recession" instead.
Why doesn't Poilievre support our farmers, Canadian jobs, and lowering food prices?
Weird.
Carney’s solution to everything is to throw more borrowed money at the problem and set up a fake photo op and the bought and paid for media will carry his message like the good lemmings they are.
