I-80 progress is moving forward. 🚗 About 60% of reconstruction from Minooka to Joliet is complete, with drivers already using new pavement, improved bridges and modern roadway sections. Nearly 80% completion is expected by year’s end!

🚧Weekend lane closures: Starting Friday, June 12 at 10 p.m., lane closures will be in place on westbound I-80 between Wheeler Ave and Richards St through 5 a.m. Monday, June 15. The closures are needed for bridge deck repairs and pavement patching.

Concrete is flowing and progress continues to build across I-80.

One of the major activities was the bridge deck pour for the new SB I-55 to EB I-80 flyover bridge.

Chicago St will be reduced to one lane in each direction for about one month while crews build temporary pavement to prepare for upcoming detours

12 AM: WB I-80 to SB I-55 ramp closed
12-5 AM: SB I-55 fully closed
6 AM: I-55 reopens
