Harford County's #1 budget priority for this coming year should be properly funding our school system, including replacement funding for the expiring federal grants, fully funding new Blueprint requirements, and funding living wages for all staff + increased staffing levels.

Discussion of the FY2025 Harford County budget needs to begin with a retrospective on previous budgets. The FY2023 budget, under the Glassman administration, cut property taxes and spent down accumulated funds. (1/7)

Mr. Cassilly has portrayed the FY2023 tax cut as fiscally irresponsible, and yet he chose to continue it. His FY2024 budget proposal was deeply irresponsible, dramatically cutting school system funding. (6/7)
