The meeting was attended by the Hon’ble Minister for Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology and Digital Services, 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘂 𝗥. 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿; 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠. 𝗦𝗮𝗶 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿, 𝗜𝗔𝗦, Chief Secretary; 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘂 𝗠.𝗔. 𝗦𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲, 𝗜𝗔𝗦, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance); 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘂 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗬𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘃, 𝗜𝗔𝗦, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology and Digital Services Department; along with senior Government officials and Departmental representatives.

As part of the discussions, the activities and impact of iTNT Hub in fostering innovation, supporting startups, and accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies were reviewed. We organised an exclusive session on Advanced Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) Principles for our hardware startups, led by Mr. Syed Mubasheer Ali and Mr. Syed Wajid Pasha from D Espat Pvt Ltd. The session provided practical insights into designing products for efficient manufacturing and assembly.

The session highlighted how challenges can drive innovation and emphasised achieving "more from less" through thoughtful design and engineering. Participants explored designing products that prioritise performance, capital and energy efficiency, smart functionality, and shelf life while reducing volume, emissions, maintenance requirements, and weight.

The experts also reinforced that design dictates cost, underscoring the importance of applying DFMA principles early in product development, when the cost of corrections is significantly lower.

During the session, Techo Wild, an iTNT accelerated startup, showcased its product to the experts and fellow startups and received valuable feedback.

The session also explored the strategic objectives of supply chain management, emphasising cost efficiency, service excellence, quality assurance, speed, and responsiveness. Participants gained valuable perspectives on component sourcing strategies, vendor evaluation frameworks, supplier performance scorecards, sourcing events, and negotiation approaches, equipping them with practical tools to build resilient and efficient supply chains.
