It’s a PENALTY. There is a contact and it doesn’t matter who initiated it. Referees always look for contact and that’s the most important thing in the box. Once there is a contact with the leg and not the ball, it’s a penalty.

If it’s a clear cut penalty, it doesn’t need 200 replays for a referee to make up his mind. If you start showing different angles to prove to the referee that he made a wrong decision, maybe then it’s no longer a clear and obvious error.

As MPs are formed, they are mobilized into receiving waterbodies during rain events where they can potentially cause detrimental impacts on aquatic life.

Ultimately, we would have our waterbodies filled with more MPs and Plastic debris.

A “dirty” December indeed.

According to Cowrywise report of #DettyDecember in 2025, ~85 million of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles were generated from social activities in Nigeria (mostly Lagos) with less than 10% formally recovered.

The remaining 90% will eventually breakdown into Microplastics
