I’m a 6th generation Iowan, 1st generation college student. I’m a small business owner. My parents are lifelong Iowans and small business owners too. My 4X grandfather fought for the Union Army during the Civil War and is even buried in Northwood, Iowa, 20 minutes from where I live.

I don’t hold it against Lindsay that she was born and raised in Portland, Oregon but the problem is she moved to Iowa and voted like somebody who was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. What’s even worse, is how she attempts to demean hard-working Iowa families that have achieved the American dream. She wasn’t there for the ups and downs of any business, the hours, the stress, the real work it requires, she’s just there to criticize the result. I have built a business, built the home I live in now, and hired hundreds of people across Iowa, and especially in Northeast Iowa, to build homes people can afford. So I don’t just oppose her voting record. The message she put out today is just not Iowa. And it’s Un-American.

This must have been such a nice night for Team James. Des Moines probably reminds Lindsay of Portland a little, and she got to be in the one room in Iowa where these ideas are popular:

@Lindsay4Iowa has been a chaplain for this church in Menlo Park (liberal billionaire suburb of San Fransisco) and Beverly (liberal billionaire suburb of Boston’s north shore).

Her views might be popular there but they aren’t here in Iowa.

This should terrify every Iowan. The church for which @Lindsay4Iowa is a chaplain voted 441-30 to support transgender surgery for minors.

Lindsay wants to raise taxes on you and your parents, to give the social security owed to our grandparents, and won’t guarantee it will be around for us.

Lindsay will always keep raising your taxes because she will always keep voting to spend money on illegal immigrants.

Short answer, yes. Long answer, Social Security is a vital program and I want the same benefits generations before me have had to be around for my kids and their kids. We can do that by ensuring billionaires pay their fair share into the Social Security system.

In Portland you can get paid for not showing up to work so I understand why @Lindsay4Iowa thinks it’s acceptable, but we don’t.
