EXCLUSIVE: @ReeveWill speaks with Knicks star Jalen Brunson and his father, Rick Brunson, a former NBA player and current Knicks assistant coach, about the game, the Finals, and their relationship on and off the court.
Love seeing Fat Joe there. He loves basketball with all his heart. His teams at Rucker were not to be messed with.
Terror Squad was one of the great New York City teams, led by Kareem Reid and arguably the greatest streetball coach ever, Mousey.
Eventually the story will be told of Fat Joe’s impact on basketball and the culture. Fat Joe is a multi time EBC Champion - a real accomplishment in putting the proper team together and a commitment to a winning CULTURE.
He was never there for show, he wanted to win. He deserves the ultimate respect in the basketball community. He shaped an era that helped develop the game into what it has become today.
If we don’t SUPPORT our own, who will?
The Black Coaches Association proudly congratulates both NBA Finals head coaches, Mike Brown and Mitch Johnson.
History will be made as two Black head coaches meet on basketball’s biggest stage in the 2026 NBA Finals.
This opportunity has only happened a handful of times in NBA history, making this moment even more significant for the game and for the next generation of coaches who aspire to lead at the highest level.
No matter the outcome, one thing is certain:
A Black head coach will be crowned NBA Champion.
We celebrate the leadership, resilience, preparation, and excellence that both coaches have displayed throughout their journeys.
Good luck to Coach Brown and Coach Johnson.
They WIN. WE WIN. ✊🏾🏆

Patrick Ewing has known Jalen Brunson since Jalen was 2 years old and used to take him on family vacations. Last night, the Knicks legend got to hand Jalen the ECF MVP trophy.
Leon Rose puts his arm around his son, Sam, and visibly breaks down in tears after the emotions set in of the Knicks going to the NBA Finals.
This is beautiful stuff. We love you, Leon. Thank you for everything you have done.
