@Dr_Monte_Cristo@DominoFide@DrMaliakkal@kennhistoria@FrLavery@BigModernism Bp. Kurz, like Fr. DePauw and many others were confused as to what was happening. By at least 1999 Fr was a sede. Bp. Kurz died in 1973, still hoping this would change back. He said, “The greatest thing I ever did was something I never did—offer the so-called new mass.”
Please pray for the repose of the soul of my spiritual father, Fr. Gommar A. DePauw, JCD. He went to Judgment 21 years ago today.
I miss him very much.
He was God’s instrument to keep the One True Church going during the Great Apostasy. Requiescat In Pace.
This is an unfair attack on Bishop Kurz. He, like most anti-Modernists at the Council, felt it obligatory to sign to show unity with the “pope” who would promulgate it anyway. He didn’t have it all figured out yet.
On May 22, 1966, Bishop Kurz PUBLICLY supported Fr. DePauw in his fight for “Truth and Tradition.” Archbishop Lefebvre refused to help and did nothing until 1970.
