Brian of Colby, Wisconsin who recently completed our 50 yard challenge (I’ll be visiting him soon with his new equipment), has decided to continue on , taking on one of our special editions for kids who finish the first 50 yards . He has chosen the 100 yard challenge , 50 free more lawns for the elderly , disabled , single parents and veterans in his city .

It gives me great pride to announce that Jesse of Hayden, ID ,who is taking part in our 50 yard challenge has officially submitted his 50th lawn , completing our 50 yard challenge ! I will be hitting the road in the next few weeks to head to Idaho to deliver him his brand new lawn equipment . Congratulations again, Jesse..

Braylon is the very first kid to receive our new collectible pins! Kids can earn these special pins throughout their journey and proudly receive them after completing The 50 Yard Challenge. Braylon earned six of our first 20 pins: Featured on the News, First Respondonders for mowing 10 or more lawns for first responders, Veterans for mowing 10 or more lawns for veterans, Safety First for always wearing the proper safety gear, Leaf Raking for raking leaves during the challenge, and On Fire for completing his final lawns on an incredible hot streak!

Congratulations again, Braylon, on completing The 50 Yard Challenge and becoming the first recipient of our new pins. Your dedication to serving others has truly set the standard!

A new era begins for us. The Black Jacket.

Starting this year , kids who complete the 50 Yard Challenge will earn a black varsity jacket as a symbol of their hard work, dedication, and service to their community.

The inspiration behind the Black Jacket comes from the tradition of the green jacket awarded at The Masters Tournament, creating a meaningful symbol that represents excellence, commitment, and achievement within our program. Kids get the jackets along with their new equipment .

Kids of previous years that did the challenge , will be able to get one once we secure a sponsor for our jackets. If any company is interested in becoming a sponsor and having your logo on our jackets & shirts please reach out.

As I mentioned a few days ago, we’re excited to officially introduce the brand-new badge and pin system for The 50 Yard Challenge! Kids will now have the opportunity to earn collectible badges throughout their journey that recognize service, creativity, safety, and dedication. Some of the first 20 badges include Picasso for creating an outstanding 50 yard challenge signs, One Summer for completing all 50 lawns in a single summer, All Four Seasons for mowing, raking leaves, and shoveling snow, mowing 10+ lawns for Veterans and First Responders, and Safety First for consistently wearing the proper protective gear. Kids can proudly display these badges on their hats and, after completing the challenge, on their black completion jackets.

These are just the beginning! We plan to introduce new badges every few months, and we’d love to hear your ideas—especially badges that recognize kindness and community service beyond lawn mowing. We can’t wait to see our kids collect them as they continue making a difference, one lawn at a time.
