This was the first ever test launch of a Starship class rocket. No humans inside or anywhere near the launch.

Low-quality news outlets are trying to make this sound like a failure, but it was very much anticipated that it would have to be blown up.

Clearing the launch pad on the initial launch was the only real goal of the test, and it did that. Anything beyond that was just 'icing on the cake'. The first stage did not separate as it should have, so they terminated the remainder of the flight by blowing it up.

This launch was an overwhelming success. It had the potential to do even better, but it still far exceeded the goals of this test flight.

Outlets trying to make it sound like a failure just have an agenda, and are relying on the ignorance of their audience to successfully push their narrative.
