As she celebrates her birthday on July 25, Popstar Royalty #SarahGeronimo has fans buzzing after sharing a series of cryptic updates across her social media accounts, fueling speculation that a new chapter in her career may finally be on the horizon.
The singer surprised followers on July 24 by changing her profile photo to a studio portrait, where she appeared effortlessly glamorous in a knitted green-and-cream top while reclining on a matching green couch. The fresh look immediately caught the attention of fans, many of whom welcomed her renewed activity online.
What further fueled curiosity was her new cover photo the day before, as it carried the message, “Ang bagong simula ay paghakbang pabalik.”
The cryptic line quickly became a hot topic among fans, with many wondering if it was a teaser for an upcoming music release, a new project, or the beginning of a long-awaited comeback.
Speculation flooded the comments section, with one fan writing, “Baka true nga yung chika na she owns na all the rights ng songs niya. If ever, wow.”
Another expressed excitement over the possibility of her return, saying, “Comeback??? She never left guys. #1 in my life foreverrrr.”
Others theorized that the mysterious phrase could be part of a new song penned by the Popstar herself, with one fan commenting, “Wahh heto na yung bagong composition mo?”
While #SarahGeronimo has yet to reveal the meaning behind the post, her sudden online activity has reignited excitement among supporters who have long been waiting for new music from the award-winning performer.
In recent years, the singer has kept a relatively low profile, devoting much of her time to her personal life with husband #MatteoGuidicelli while making select appearances at concerts and music festivals. During those performances, she continued to thrill audiences with crowd favorites including “Kilometro,” “Ikot-Ikot,” and her enduring anthem “Tala.”
Her latest full-length studio album, “This 15 Me,” was released in 2018 under Viva Records to commemorate her 15th anniversary in show business. Since then, she has opted to release standalone singles such as “Dati-Dati” and “Cuore,” instead of a new studio album.
She has also remained active through special collaborations, including “Umaaligid” with #SB19, keeping her presence in the music scene alive despite taking a more selective approach to releases.
For now, #SarahGeronimo has left fans with more questions than answers but if the overwhelming reaction to her birthday teaser is any indication, anticipation for her next move has never been stronger.
