Reality check : how special fund for top athletes has been used to upgrade facilities for bureaucrats colony! Savings/austerity for Aam Aadmi, mauja re mauja for Khaas Aadmi! https://t.co/3VXn2SzRy3
The total Kharif fertiliser requirement is 390.54 LMT, but existing stocks currently cover only about 51% of demand.
Meanwhile, BJP schemes like PM-PRANAM – Promotion of Alternate Nutrients for Agriculture Management – launched in 2023 for a period of three years, have proved to be little more than a sham.
We are now in 2026. The stipulated three-year period is over. And yet, as per Nadda ji, not a single incentive has been disbursed to any State or Union Territory under the PM-PRANAM scheme so far.
Consequently, no meaningful progress has been made. And our farmers continue to remain dependent on imported chemical fertilisers.
In such a scenario, the Honourable Prime Minister has casually asked farmers to reduce chemical fertiliser usage by 50% – as though merely saying it makes it achievable.
A farmer cannot simply decide to cultivate only half his land. Nor is an overnight shift to alternative soil-enrichment systems possible when the government itself has starved its own much-publicised PM-Pranaam scheme of funds and implementation.
Transformation requires planning, investment, scientific support and institutional commitment. But all this government can offer are media and PR campaigns.
Farmers constitute 46.1% of India’s workforce, while agriculture contributes nearly 18% to the GDP. They are among the country’s largest interest groups.
If this government is failing to seriously plan for such a vital and vulnerable section of our population, then who exactly is it planning for?

Above 40 degree is the temperature at 9:30 am already.
All credit to our illiterate politicians for cutting down trees for their crony friends, running smear campaigns against climate change activists and constantly living in denial
Rahul Gandhi Ji said the most important thing today which needed to be said long back.
Rahul Gandhi Ji to BJP — You are not the people of India, you are not the armed forces. You are a political organization, we are attacking you, not the people of India and the armed forces. 🔥
Reports are claiming that in Noida workers are protesting to get a salary of 18-20k from current 11-12k salary.
Yeah take a pause and think, people are working at 11-12k for 8-12 hours that too in industrial environment. I don't think even 18k would be enough to stay in urban India especially in high inflation.
Govt has all the money for distributing freebies to lazy people to win elections, why can't they contribute to fund these hardworking people instead.
The priority is totally misplaced.
“The most shocking part is that payments and lease transactions are on record, but there is no physical or documentary proof of the ducts themselves.” — Sunil Mane.
A major political controversy has erupted in Pune after Sunil Mane alleged a ₹26,000-crore scam in the city’s underground cable project. He accused the Pune Municipal Corporation, contractors and MAHAPREIT of serious procedural lapses.
Mane claimed that while payments and lease transactions are officially recorded, there is no physical or documentary proof that the underground ducts actually exist. He also questioned whether two mandatory ducts ordered in 2021 were ever built.
According to Mane, Pune still has nearly 36,000 km of illegal overhead cables. He alleged that if proper penalties had been collected, the civic body could have earned between ₹13,000 crore and ₹14,000 crore, taking the total estimated loss to ₹26,000 crore.
Mane has demanded a full investigation and asked for all related documents, contracts and inspection reports to be made public.

The draft IT rules are proof that the govt is allergic to free press. If notified, these rules will allow the govt to ban any independent journalist’s online content. Indians heavily rely on independent journalists for news that affects them, things that mainstream channels or publications do not necessarily cover. Without independent journalists, there’s no way of knowing if a “toolkit” is being used to spread fake news or not.
We have a fundamental right to information, and a right against misinformation and disinformation. These rules bypass existing stay orders by courts and also violate the SC’s Shreya Singhal judgement.
Escalating hostilities between the United States, Israel and Iran are pushing a fragile region toward wider conflict. Crores of people, including nearly a crore Indians, face uncertainty.
While security concerns are real, attacks that violate sovereignty will only worsen the crisis. The unilateral attacks on Iran, as well as Iran’s attacks on other Middle Eastern nations, must be condemned. Violence begets violence - dialogue and restraint remain the only path to peace.
India must be morally clear. We should have the courage to speak plainly in defence of international law and human lives. Our foreign policy is rooted in sovereignty and the peaceful resolution of disputes - and it must remain consistent.
PM Modi must speak up. Does he support the assassination of a head of state as a way to define the world order? Silence now diminishes India’s standing in the world.
