It is the hard thgs that break, soft things don't break. You can waste so many years of your life trying to become somethg hard in order not to break, but it is the soft thgs that can't break! The hard thgs are the ones that shatter into million pieces! Have a splendid day.
At 26, Wendy A. Okolo became the first Black woman to obtain a PhD in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2015.
An alumna of Queen's College, Lagos, the Nigerian-born scientist is currently an aerospace research engineer in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA. #HistoryVille
I know someone who hasn't been with a woman in 5 years and he's married with 4 kids.
He took his wife and kids abroad, while he was doing very well here,so he was shuttling between the US and Nigeria.
Then, there was a business downside as it is bound to happen, but he still had lot of bucks.
All these while,he was trying to get docs for his wife and had spent thousand of dollars but didn't work,so now he just took that big leap, since business was down and went to stay with them in the US.
But he's a man of big faith, then he tries his own papers and it worked for him and his kids within 2 years of him getting there but before that happened,he had already started having issues with his wife that he nurtured from obscurity to opulence here before she ever dreamed of traveling out of the country.
When he got to the US to stay, the woman just started coming up with different rules and he was like ,in this house that i pay for even from Nigeria?
He went through a lot,but God shone through.
He went through mental torture and breakdown but God saw him through.
He hasn't been with his wife in 5 years and they still remain married and decided not to be with any woman at all.
That's a strong willed man,it can't be me.
But right now,he has his American passport and he's back on his feet shuttling between the two countries again.
And the woman is still without her papers after 7 years in the US.
Do you think people should keep living in loveless marriages just because of the kids and may be what people will say?
@VikyInsights your take?
𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖? Ikot-Abasi women's riot.
The women's war of December, 1929 wrongly called "Aba Women's Riot" did NOT take place in Aba, today’s Abia State. The war actually took place in Ikot-Abasi, in today’s Akwa Ibom State.
History revisionists distorted the true historical account of the event, then changed the location and name and ethinc group of the people involved.
The women’s riot started in Ikot-Abasi, the present day Akwa Ibom State and spread to other Opobo District as women from Opobo, Ogoni, Andoni, and other towns in today’s Rivers State & Akwa Ibom joined.
The riot broke out when a colonial officer named captain Hunter fired a shot at the women who were protesting against the imposition of tax on every food item sold by the market women. Hundreds of women, mothers and sisters were k!lled by the colonial authorities during this riot.
The leader of the women during this women’s war against oppression by the colonial government was Madam Udo Udoma, an Ibibio woman and the mother of Sir. Egbert Udoma, former Chief Justice of Uganda and grandmother of Udoma Udo Udoma, Former Minister of Budget and Planning under Buhari’s regime. She was the brave woman who disarmed a colonial police officer and broke it into two.
The Women's War Memorial in Akwa Ibom State has the real historical account of this event preserved there with mock graves, relics and statue of those heroes.
There is a hall of fame erected at Ikot-Abasi in honour of those women and names of the dead women are on it.
It is wrong for anyone to attribute this Women’s war carried out by women from Today’s Akwa Ibom and Rivers State to Aba and erroneously named it “Aba Women’s Riot”, an event that never took place there.

Be the person who still tries. After failure, after letdowns, after exhaustion, after heartbreak.
Be the person who finds it in themselves to try one more time, who still believes a new effort can lead to a different ending.
Be the person who still tries.
Growth is a daily choice. 🌿☀️
Men,
Lust has destroyed kings.
Anger has destroyed empires.
Greed has destroyed families.
Ego has destroyed brilliant minds.

Visited a slum today in Lagos in preparation for a medical outreach we are planning this week.
It was an eye opener.
It just reiterated to me that we need to do more concerning youth awareness and substance use.
I saw young people like myself with bloodshot red eyes.
I smelt the deep ooze of cannabis.
I felt the air of nicotine smoke.
I saw as young boys and girls grabbed their roll of drugs.
I saw as heavily tattooed youths sat with a game of Ayo while a bottle containing mixtures was by their side.
I saw pregnant girls went about their daily activities, wallowing in the marshy puddle of water.
I saw a flow of people struggling with substance use.
Then I asked myself, That could have been me?
But perhaps, knowledge and opportunity was what made a difference.
It gave me a focal point to think.
So much to do
So many lives to touch.
Young people like myself must be invested in the business of changing lives.

Dear Man,
Nobody is coming to save you.
Not when you’re broke, Not when you’re tired, Not when you feel lost.
Build yourself anyway.
One day, the life you prayed for will be built by the man you chose to become.
"One can promise actions, but not feelings, for the latter are involuntary.
He who promises to love forever or hate forever or be forever faithful to someone is promising something that is not in his power."
-Friedrich Nietzsche, Human, All Too Human
I was at a restaurant yesterday when I noticed an elderly couple sitting across from me.
The man carefully removed the onions from his wife's meal because she doesn't like them. He didn't make a big deal out of it. He just did it naturally.
That simple act hit me harder than all the "couple goals" content online.
Maybe love isn't grand gestures.
Maybe it's remembering the little things after 30 years.
What small thing has someone done for you that you'll never forget?
Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do. -Pele
If you study history well. You'll know that there's a agenda behind terrorism either via resources or Islamic rules. This is how Afghanistan Taliban started before they took over the country. Imagine a terrorist giving govt conditions to ligalize Sharia law. They beheaded a person on live camera. Ignore those stupid Muslims saying terrorism isn't part of Islam. They know the truth but what did you expect from a brainwashed idiot.
