I have a question:

Respect to military personnels please. This is in no way a "shade" to y'all. Just a genuine observation.

I have observed that some military men disrespectfully request for ladies' contact in public. I want to ask, is it that you think we would "fear" your uniform and "bend" to your request?

I'm asking because a military man called me from their van yesterday. I was walking down the street to buy something and I saw a couple of them guarding. Then, one of them called me..

Here's how he did it: "hey, come!". I contemplated. But, I didn't know the actual reason he called. And because I know that I am not an "offender", I wasn't scared. I was even thinking out of the box. They were in the direction I was going too, so I stopped.

He said, "how are you?" I said "I am fine". Then he started asking me abstract questions..

"Do you live in the area?"
"Where are you going?"
"Where are you from?".

All in one breath. I immediately told him that I do not have the time. Because, I am very observant. From the way he asked those questions, they weren't security questions. It was too casual. I asked that he let me know why he called me. He then said I'm "entering his eye". That I should please give him my contact. I said "no, would that be all?". Then walked away to the store where I wanted to make a purchase.

Now, I noticed something. When I responded that I do not have the time, his perception about me changed. His countenance changed. Maybe he thinks I'm a "small girl" because I actually packed my hair in 2 bun like a secondary school girl😂

But, the "hey, come!" was just somehow. You wanted my number, but you wanted to get it by "military style". If you like.. be the president, I will say a very big gracious "NO" to your disrespectful ass.

My coursemates and I contributed ₦1.2 million for one of our classmates who has been jobless for the past 6 years.

We raised the money to help him learn a skill or start a small business so he could get back on his feet.

Just last week, he sent his wedding invitation in the group.

The whole group went silent.

When we asked him why, he said since he now had “a little money,” he decided it was the right time to marry his girlfriend of 4 years.

We said nothing.

He sent another message:
