You know what DIDN’T shock me when I came to Christ as a Muslim?
Jesus, the real Jesus. He didn’t shock me at all.
What shocked me was how consistent He was with the God I was reading about in the Torah.
I’m reading the Bible for the first time and thinking: “Wait a second. This God, Yahweh, is always stepping into humanity.”
He’s not distant.
He walks in the garden.
Adam and Eve hear Him.
He wrestles with Jacob.
He appears as the angel of the Lord.
He speaks to Moses face to face.
So when Jesus shows up, it doesn't feel random. It felt like the next step.
People act like the Incarnation came out of nowhere. It didn’t. It’s progressive revelation. God revealing more of Himself, culminating in Christ.
The Trinity isn’t random theology. It’s God with us. God for us. God among us.
Isaiah said it 700 years before—Emmanuel, God with us. That’s prophecy.
So here’s where I got stuck: Why is it easier to believe God walked, spoke, appeared, wrestled—
but suddenly He can’t enter His own creation?
That logic doesn’t make sense.
For me, recognizing Jesus as God wasn’t a leap. It was the most natural next step.
And once I realized the Torah was revelation from God, not the Quran, I knew where I had to stand.
Imagine fishing for hours and not catching any fish. Not one.
Now it’s dark, cold.
You’re hungry, thirsty, tired, bones aching, disappointed, beating up on yourself, wishing you never came.
You’ve given up.
You know everyone’s back home depending on you and now you have to deliver disappointing news.
Then out of nowhere, your best friend appears.
You tell him you came in vain—
you caught no fish.
He tells you to try again on the right side.
You look at him like he’s gotta be crazy.
You’ve been there for hours, you know for a fact the net will be empty when it comes back up again.
You do it anyway…
and would ya look @ that…
Net full.
Do you realize that your best friend is the final boss?
The one who loves & adores you is in charge.
The ocean waves turn which ever way he commands.
The hearts of the Kings are in his hands.
My goodness, I love him so much.

Good Friday reminds us of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. May this day further deepen the values of harmony, compassion and forgiveness. May brotherhood and hope guide us all.
Someone asked what’s the difference between this and the “Audio” feature in iMessage since both of them send voice notes.
Good question.
For one, you need to dig deep to find the Audio button in iMessage, it’s hidden.
Whereas for the buz app, the button is right there, at the center and huge.
Then like I said earlier, the translation works great.
I’m still coming up on my Spanish so this helps me greatly when I go to a store here in Southern California and the person I’m speaking with doesn’t understand English.
I just change to Spanish mode and speak and it comes out in my voice, in Spanish…it’s lowkey creepy but cool.
As in it’s still my voice but it’s in Spanish!
Another feature: voice filters. This is fun. You can pick a range of voice filters eg Deep, Beauty, Whisper and so on.
One more, and this is huge...the autoplay feature. Unlike iMessage, where you often need to raise your phone or tap to listen, buz can play messages directly even when the phone is locked.
This is especially useful when your hands are busy.
So, yeah, iMessage is the past, this is the future.

Back in 2012 when I just started with Shell, I had a big decision staring me in the face.
For weeks, I struggled to make the call.
Then one day, on my morning walk, I ran into a friend and we started talking.
He was working in a company similar to mine and had a few years of experience so I told him what was going on.
Without missing a beat, he told me what to do.
It appeared to him to be a no-brainer.
“But, but, have you considered so and so?” I asked him.
“Yeah, but it doesn’t matter,” he replied matter-of-factly, “this is the right thing to do.”
Fast forward a couple of months.
I personally went to his house to thank him for his advice. It had changed my life.
“Wait! What?! You did it??”
Yes, you told me to.
“You are brave! Even me telling you to do it wouldn’t have done it, to be completely honest with you. The risks were just too high. Although I still believe it’s the right decision.”
That episode taught me a lesson.
This person, a respected friend, gave me advice as if it’s plain obvious what the right call was…only to confess months later that even he wouldn’t have followed that advice although it was the best move to take.
Why am I telling you this story?
Anytime you are facing a difficult situation, just ask yourself, “if my friend is in this situation and asks for my advice, what would I tell him/her?”
That’s the right answer.
Go ahead and take that same advice you would have given your friend.
I have seen some tweets about how having knowledge is no longer an advantage because of AI.
They say; why memorize facts when you can ask ChatGPT? Why crack your brain when AI is just few prompts away?
Well, this sentiment isn't entirely new, we heard similar arguments with the rise of the internet and search engines. But this reasoning confuses access to information with understanding.
To be clear, before AI, there was already the internet, Google, Wikipedia, and countless digital resources. Yet people still lacked basic knowledge in their head.
Why? Because having the ability to find information and having the ability to use it intelligently are two fundamentally different skills.
It's one thing to have knowledge available on a secondary device. It's entirely another to carry it with you to understand it, synthesize it, apply it, and create with it.
Correct.
My Tesla and SpaceX shares, which are almost all my “wealth”, only go up in value as a function of how much useful product those companies produce and service.
This means my “wealth” can only increase due to producing more products and services for the public. Moreover, anyone else who is a shareholder in Tesla and SpaceX, which incudes employees, participates in the upside of stock appreciation.
That is because I am a maker, not a taker like the Bernie Sanders type politicians of the world. They take and they’re on the take, because they cannot or will not make.
Christmas time is that time to reflect and ask yourself what you really want.
What truly fulfills?
Christmas is a reminder of Jesus and the free gift of forgiveness only he can offer.
Reflecting on this reminds me of all I have went through
And how he has brought me through it all.
Letting go resentment is hard but when Jesus reveals hisself as willing and able, it’s hard to deny him.
Hope wherever you are you can lean into this love that meets us exactly where we are no matter what.

I’ve been pushing legislation to designate Nigeria a CPC and to impose sanctions on the Nigerian officials responsible.
Thank you to President Trump for his leadership in imposing the designation, and more broadly, for fighting to stop the murder of Christians in Nigeria.
Now we should take the next step and hold Nigerian officials accountable. I intend to be very explicit about who they are in the coming days and weeks.
The sweetest part about self-awareness is how often it helps you realize you are part of the problem.
The hardest part is how uncomfortable you now find yourself accepting that your habits, your choices, your reactions, or even your mistakes contributed to the chaos you blamed others for.
But if you must grow, you must accept the honesty that stares you in the face, let it humble you, and be willing to seek the courage that pushes you to do better next time.
Everybody should take a lesson in self-awareness.
