Jesus didn’t die because He needed forgiveness, He died to pay for ours.

Your prophet, however, was still told to seek forgiveness for his own sins. So ask yourself, why does Jesus bear the sins of others, while Muhammad needs forgiveness for his own?

That’s the difference between the sinless Savior and a sinner who needs saving.

‘Beware’ of reading another religions scripture? If your faith is true, why would honestly examining a competing text be spiritually dangerous? Truth doesn’t need a quarantine. If the Book of Mormon is false, open it, test it, and expose it.

Acts 17:11 didn’t tell people to fear examining claims, it praised them for doing exactly that.

“Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”

And that’s exactly the question I’m asking you. What does the NT actually teach about Christ?

You can’t simply say “we believe in the Christ of the New Testament” and then assume your interpretation is therefore biblical brother.

The issue isn’t whether LDS people use the NT. It’s whether LDS theology matches what the New Testament teaches about Christs identity, nature, and relationship to the Father.

In your paradigm, If historic Christianity supposedly departed from the Bible, then demonstrate it from the text itself and show me. Don’t just assert it with no evidence,

Because “we believe the Bible” isn’t an argument. Show me where the New Testament teaches the LDS conception of Jesus Christ.

You’re arguing against a claim I didn’t make about Jesus but I’ll address it anyway.

I don’t need to believe in my bot claim to be true or not but the LDS theology teaches a fundamentally different Christ from historic Christianity. That’s already a major red flag,

Your own doctrine says Jesus is the firstborn spirit child of the Heavenly Father, that He and we existed as spirit children before this life, and that the Father has a physical body.

So when Christians say “your Jesus is different,” that isn’t an insult or something we “made up” - It’s a theological claim based on what Mormonism itself teaches.

I don’t need to be an apostle to quote Scripture any more than you need to be Joseph Smith to quote the Book of Mormon.

Paul’s letters were written to specific churches, but the Scripture is for the Church who is anyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:8-9 says “even an angel preaching a different gospel is accursed.” That principle doesn’t expire when Paul’s letter reaches its original audience.

And ironically, Mormonism claims Joseph Smith received his message from an angel.

So instead of questioning my “authority” - answer the actual questions I’ve presented.

I’ll add one more because you’re obviously not wanting to engage.

Does Joseph Smith’s gospel agree with the gospel preached by the apostles, or not?

Great, so now tell me.

When Joseph Smith translated these “Golden Plates” that Moroni led him to, where are they? Why have they never been found? Why could we find ancient documents all the way to the Dead Sea scrolls yet, you can’t find these so called golden plates?

The LDS church also says about the Book of Abraham “The veracity and value of the book of Abraham cannot be settled by scholarly debate concerning the book’s translation and historicity” which is also backed by Egyptologist to be a false translations on top of that.

So my question to you, why do you back a doctrine that can be dismantled by JS clearly being a false prophet? If you call yourself a Christian, why don’t you hold to the scriptures where it says that following:

Galatians 1:8-9 - “But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!”

2 Corinthians 11:3-5 - “But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.I do not think I am in the least inferior to those “super-apostles.”
