A woman spoke out for the first time since she was attacked and sexually assaulted while sleeping in her Bushwick apartment in October 2025.

Police said a man broke into the 43-year-old's third-floor window on Pilling Street near Evergreen Avenue. She did not have a fire escape.

“This man tied a rope to the chimney and climbed down the side of the building,” said the victim.

Police said he zip-tied her arms together, sexually assaulted her, then stole her cellphone.

The victim said she’s speaking out now because she’s frustrated with the police investigation.

“[They told me] they know his name,” said the victim. “They know where some of his family is. It’s like, why can’t you catch him?”

The NYPD released a photo of the alleged attacker.

Nassau County Police released the same photo – after they say the same man was accused of burglarizing another woman’s home in Roosevelt in July 2025.

“It really makes me angry,” said the victim. “I was so hopeful, and then [the investigation] just slowed down and slowed down when they had all this great evidence that was coming in.”

She told News 12 that she now lives out of state, suffers from PTSD and often wakes up screaming.

She said she was sharing her story not only to find the alleged attacker but to warn other women to be alert.

“This man is still out there,” she said. “He can do this again.”

The NYPD has named a suspect in the fatal slashing of a woman’s throat inside her family’s Brooklyn home last month — and is asking the public’s help tracking him down.

Cops released surveillance photos of 43-year-old suspect Misael Cruz, whose last know address is about a half mile away from the victim’s home in Bay Ridge, as they press their hunt for the killer.

Cruz allegedly slit 36-year-old Maria Santos Flores’ throat inside her home on June 20. Investigators believe he may have encountered Flores in the neighborhood, had eyes for her, and stalked her, a police source said.

Flores’ 18-year-old son found her dead with her throat sliced open inside their two-story home on 85th St. near Fourth Ave. about 9:10 a.m.

Flores worked as a bartender at a tavern in neighboring Sunset Park, according to her husband.

Along with her son and husband, Flores leaves behind a 14-year-old daughter.

As I wrote earlier in the year. There's a group of gang members that normally hang out in the Times Square area. They are known for starting problems and attacking and robbing people.

It was reported that this same group attacked an elderly man and broke both the man's eye sockets .

This has been an ongoing problem with this same exact group over and over again .

🚨WANTED FOR A BURGLARY: On Friday, July 3, 2026, at approximately 3:45 P.M., an unidentified individual entered a commercial establishment located at 2864 Broadway. Once inside, the individual jumped over a counter and removed approximately $5,000 worth of weight loss medication. The suspect then fled the location on foot, last seen running westbound on West 111 Street.
