This is a really important vision for - and investment in - the future. Worth reading about @Meta's partnership with @NatUrbanLeague@ABCNational and others.

Some of us remember a time, way back in 2025, when the geniuses criticizing the Mayor for this "puzzling" decision also said Cuomo was a lock to be Mayor.
Sometimes exhibiting courage (like @LindseyBoylan did standing up to Cuomo) is "puzzling" to people who have none.
George Clinton speaks on Kendrick Lamar via the New York Times:
"I’ll put it like this: He, along with Motown, Sly Stone, the Beatles — that kind of institution is going to last. There are a lot of slick writers out here nowadays with lyrics and things, but he writes with soul. He’s a young kid, but when I met him, he sounded my age. He’s like a psychiatrist on record — he talks about [expletive] that most people are afraid to talk about. He’s at that point where he can move the conversation. Nobody will talk about these topics, and he talks about them so matter-of-factly that you don’t even think, You can’t say that.
Making it commercial is another thing. It’s one thing to be hard-core gangster rapping so you can say things. But when you’re talking about life in general and make it sound so hard, so cool — then watch the kids say, No, he ain’t all that, then turn around the next year and change their minds? Kids today, they want their new artist; they don’t want their older brother or sister’s artist or their mother and father’s. Kids don’t like you after a few years. When you can go past that and have the next generation after that still talking about you, you’re doing something.
That whole “To Pimp a Butterfly” album, it was like one song to me. It was like Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On.” And he’s starting all over each time he puts an album out — he’s like a brand-new kid."
Exciting news! New polling out today has us in 2nd in the Maine gubernatorial primary.
Even more exciting: once folks learn more about the candidates, we're tied for first.
We're not from the left. We're not from the right. We're from the bottom. And we're rising like crazy.
Mayor Michelle Wu said she has no interest in confabbing with President Trump as New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani did last week while in Washington: “I’m not interested in a bromance with the federal regime,” Wu said. https://t.co/UH7mtJo5eZ
Surely seems like Andrew Cuomo is gearing up for another run
INBOX: Below is an Open Letter From Andrew M. Cuomo, the 56th Governor of the State of New York.
NEW: I asked @AOC about Chi Ossé filing paperwork to run against Hakeem Jeffries.
“I certainly don't think a primary challenge to the leader is a good idea right now,” she told @axios

NEW: For the first time, the story of the 17 year old girl who testified that she had sex with Matt Gaetz for money.
She was living in and out of a homeless shelter. She was working at McDonald's. She had just finished her junior year in high school. And she wanted extra money to try to save up to pay for braces to fix her teeth.

I've heard it all - I talk funny, I didn't go to a fancy school and I don't come from the "right" part of the state or a well-connected family.
None of that matters because I know who I am. More importantly, I know who I’m fighting for. #MEpolitics
This is so disappointing and pathetic. You defended @elonmusk's nazi salute!
@ADL used to be the preeminent organization defending Jews from anti-semitism but your cowardice has turned it into a political joke.
As I told @MajorCBS, @ADL launched the Mamdani Monitor because we're taking Mayor-elect Mamdani at his word. No more rhetoric, no more gaslighting, no more gimmicks, no more games.
With the largest Jewish population in the US, NYC deserves a leader who prioritizes the safety and security of Jews and all citizens.
We're watching his personnel, his policies, and his programs. https://t.co/AfrmXG01uR
Tonight, Mainers spoke loudly & clearly - we won’t back down & we won’t be silenced. Our right to vote is everything. We won’t let special interests try to rig our elections by making it harder for workers, seniors & folks with disabilities to exercise their rights. #MEpolitics
I'll say it: "Andrew Cuomo, in my opinion, ran a campaign that was insulting to New Yorkers, that was insulting to the city, that wasn’t based in the good parts about the city, but was based in fear of both the candidate and the place -- of his religion and identity. I think that Islamophobia backfired. This is not a place where he could cobble together enough Republican votes to win."
