Twelve years of Russia’s attempts to break Ukrainians. Already 1,644 days of full-scale war. And every day of this struggle has a face. It is all our people who continue, day after day, to act, work, help, and do everything to ensure that Ukraine endures. I thank each and every one of you.
I thank our warriors who are fighting for Ukraine, for our cities and villages, for the right to live on our own land. Everyone who holds the front and does not let the enemy break us.
I thank each and every person who supports the front: those who raise funds, deliver what is needed, help our military, work in and develop our defense-industrial complex.
I thank our doctors who fight for lives in operating rooms every day and bring our people back from the most critical conditions. Everyone who helps our warriors recover. Our first responders, who are the first to arrive wherever the enemy brings death and destruction. Everyone who works under fire, restoring electricity, water, communications, roads, and heating.
I thank every family that perseveres, raises children, and nurtures all that is Ukrainian. All our teachers who continue to educate and support our children under difficult conditions. Our children, who are stronger than all the evil Russia brings upon us.
Everyone who refuses to give up, who helps, defends, heals, saves lives, works, and supports others – this is our Ukrainian strength. Our resilience is built on the daily efforts of millions of people like these. And it is thanks to you that Ukraine lives, fights, and will endure. Thank you!
Glory to our people!
Glory to Ukraine!
Thank you, Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, for your warm wishes and for Canada’s unwavering support.
Thirty-five years ago, Canada was the first Western country to recognize Ukraine’s independence. Today, as we defend that independence, Canada once again stands firmly with us. Thank you, Canada for all your support!

Today, as we defend the right of all the nations of Europe to live in freedom, the words “For your freedom and ours” once again carry a special meaning. Together, we shall prevail over our age-old enemy and protect our shared security.

For our peoples, it means first and foremost the right to choose our own path and our own future. And we know exactly where that future lies — in a strong and prosperous Europe. Thank you to Moldova and Moldovans for supporting Ukraine. Vă aduc sincere mulțumiri! 🇺🇦🤝🇲🇩
French support for Ukraine has been historic on many occasions and in many ways: air defense, combat aircraft, joint production, co-chairing the Coalition of the Willing, and much more. @EmmanuelMacron, I appreciate our personal friendship, and the people of Ukraine appreciate everything the French have done to help us withstand Russia’s asinine war. It is important that everything we have agreed in recent days and weeks now becomes reality.
It is of utmost importance to ensure that the wheels of justice do turn and that one day everyone in Russia who perpetrated their heinous crimes faces responsibility. The Special Tribunal and the compensation mechanism form the bedrock of this effort. Thank you for your warm congratulations, and thank you to all members of the Council of Europe for your work to restore justice.
Thank you to the people of Slovenia for your support! Ukrainians appreciate your firm solidarity and the decisions you have made to support our people when it mattered. There is real potential to further strengthen the partnership between our nations.
The people of Ukraine and I thank you for your kind words, President @NicusorDanRO. We have built a robust good-neighborly relationship, and it is reassuring to see a lot of joint work grounded in mutual respect. Ukraine is always open to further deepening our partnership, be it in security, the economy, or other areas.
Thank you, @EP_President, for your congratulations and warm wishes. Ukrainian tenacity is backed by the EU, and it is important that more negotiating clusters be opened to boost the spirits of our people. We are grateful to everyone who genuinely supports Ukraine’s path to EU membership.
I appreciate kind wishes from King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands @koninklijkhuis and Prime Minister Rob Jetten’s @MinPres on the occasion of Ukraine’s 35th Independence Anniversary. The Netherlands is among the leaders in supporting Ukraine’s defense and our people. Our cooperation is growing stronger, and I have no doubt we will carry out every project we have planned.
Deeply thankful to President @AlarKaris and Prime Minister @KristenMichalPM of Estonia for their wishes on the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence. Estonia’s voice is always strong in support of Ukraine, and it matters everywhere – from our EU integration to keeping the world’s focus on our defense.

Thank you, Ulf @SwedishPM. Sweden stands with Ukraine through real action. Together, we are building a modern Ukrainian Air Force that will ultimately help protect all of Europe. Our partnership is growing from strength to strength. Thank you, Sweden!
Every day, Ukraine defends itself and, in doing so, affirms its rightful place in the European family. Protecting our people ahead of winter is the top priority. Thank you, Ursula @vonderleyen, for your Independence Day wishes and for standing by our side. Additional air defense supplies are the best way to help Ukraine now, just as progress in opening the negotiating clusters is. Thank you, EU.
