Joy is a good example of the colonized Indian mind. A classic brown sepoy.
My hypothesis on what I term as
"The Brown Sepoy Syndrome":
A thousand years of colonization and religious oppresion of our ancestors made epigenetic changes to Indian brains that makes many of us pander to foreign and adversarial narratives even today while attacking our own people, culture, traditions, and country.
It's like how some humans are still afraid of spiders, snakes, or even a mouse because sometime during our evolution that trait gave us an advantage. Though all humans may have this somewhere in our brains. For some it gets activated in today's world and they have phobias.
Similarly, a brown sepoy like Joy's eagerness to attack his own culture and people is an evolutionary trait.
Imagine you are an Indian in 13th century facing severe oppression from Islamic inavders if you display your faith, or you are an Indian in the 19th century facing oppression from British imperialists for being a nationalist.
Then many in the population tend to hide their faith and act like they despise such things. This gives them more chance of survival without trouble from the rulers from the 13th to 19th century. This trait gets programmed in the brain epigenetically.
The more the persecution a group's ancestors faced, the more such behavior among that group. For example Brahmins and some other groups which were specifically targeted by invaders have more numbers of such people with Brown Sepoy Syndrome even today.
These groups tend to have more people who have the epigenetic trait to say "yes master" to avoid persecution (in those days) but it is wrongly activated in them even today. Making them hate on their own people, culture, and traditions given the trigger.
Haryana Governor approves bill for 75% reservation for locals in private sector jobs offering upto ₹50000/month
The stupid decision will:
- Affect growth
- Boost divisive regional politics
- Force private firms out of Haryana
Don't create govt jobs & destroy private sector too
People are walking off from WhatsApp as if they are repositories of some top secrets as being members of FBI or Mossad. If you are using internet data, your electronic footprints are everywhere. There is nothing secret & nothing private in cyber world. Stay calm & have a life guys.
Dear Indian Media,
When Mumbai Police assaulted Arnab & his family, you were quiet. You were & are watching from the sidelines, some in glee and others in satisfaction.
If they can do this to India’s biggest journalist, you are next. They will not spare you, either.
Wake up.
You don’t have to agree with Arnab Goswami’s journalism to disagree with his arrest. It’s plain wrong. When the keepers of law brazenly abuse it, we’re on a slippery slope.
