I’ve been meaning to make a post highlighting how integral of a role Young Guru plays in Jay-Z’s career.

This is the perfect chance to do so.

Aside from their friendship, Guru is far more than just Jay’s personal engineer. He’s also his touring DJ, producer, musical director, photographer, and sometimes when Jay is tending to other matters, Guru takes Jay’s place during rehearsals and recites his verses.

He’s also the person entrusted with housing all of Jay’s released and unreleased music, as well as being the person in charge of leading of Jay’s band.
