@EalingCustSer My food waste collection has been repeatedly missed in recent weeks (again yesterday). When I try to report it, the form says my address is marked as not left out on time. The bin has always been out on time so this is a lie. Can it finally be collected please.
@EalingCustSer My food waste bin was not collected today. I went to report it on your portal but it said that the collection team had marked it as not being put out so I cannot report it as missed. It has been out the front of my house since 9pm last night and is still there now.
Local authors inc, @Nico1aRayner Lucy Lock, Cliff Martin and Mariesa Dulak from Ealing have taken part in a high-speed pitching event at the Ealing Book Festival which took place at @Pitzhanger

Gosh, what an end to the 2024 @EalingBkFest! Quite possibly the best day yet. Lauren Child discussed her books with @CapitalXTRA’s Jojo Silva . @MCantacuzino spoke on forgiveness. We held the prize-giving ceremony for our children’s poetry competition….
Honestly humbled by the response we’ve had to the inaugural @EalingBkFest, although is it any surprise given the speakers we’ve had here today, including @JackyWilsonHQ, Eleanor Catton, @laheggessey, @SeniSeneviratne, @AmelFair and @AMRyanAuthor.

Day 2 of the 2024 @EalingBkFest and three more excellent events:
⭐️ An inspiring poetry workshop led by @Narvision
⭐️ A discussion on the British Empire with @Sathnam
⭐️ Our local authors showcase which is surely now a fixture in #Ealing’s cultural calendar!
This @Soc_of_Authors article about conscientious book buying - in other words how to buy books in ways that benefit authors, independent bookstores and chain booksellers - is particularly resonant on #BlackFriday.

It’s about time that Ealing had its own book festival again 📚
Delighted to be involved in bringing this to life. Can’t wait for 16th November!

@GalleyBeggars The Taipan by W. Somerset Maugham who displays an adept handling of the genre tropes as you’d expect. The tale is made all the more interesting by its colonial China setting.
The Martin Amis shaped hole on the shelf at my local @Waterstones: an apt reminder of the literary world’s sudden Martin Amis shaped hole. #RIPMartinAmis
She showed the world not just how to reign over a people, she showed the world how to give, how to love and how to serve. It was that indomitability, that humour, that work ethic, that sense of history which together made her Elizabeth the Great.
