Oh no it's much worse than that...
The total UK Government spending is now £1.33Trillion.
The UK population is 69M.
The Government spending per person is now £19,200 per person.
The Government is spending £76,800 on behalf of a family of 4. The median income in the UK is £37500. So a couple with 2 kids in the middle of the economy earns a total of £65K and has £76500 of average government spending on their head. How does that work???
This is SOOO far beyond the top half of society supporting the bottom half. This is reckless. This isn't sustainable. The UK still thinks it's a powerhouse economy but it destroyed it's main industry (banking and finance) and cut itself off from it's main export market... but it hasn't adjusted it's spending habits.
Unfortunately the math isn't mathing.
Ten year U.K. interest rate up to 4.55%, above 2022 mini budget levels. Sterling down 5% since end September. The Chancellor used to call such changes “ crashing the economy”.
"I was fortunate to share the last 24 hours of my dearest Mother’s life. It has been an honour and a privilege to accompany her on her final journeys.
"Witnessing the love and respect shown by so many on these journeys has been both humbling and uplifting."

Just remember it was the EU who ballsed-up Covid contracts, not the UK. Remember it was the EU who told fake news re AstraZeneca vaccine, not the UK. Remember the EU broke international law and nicked vaccines, not the UK. Remember the EU want a hard border in NI, not the UK.
Baroness Noakes:
"We face a crisis in this House... this House has lost touch with this nation. We often represent not much more than the metropolitan bubble, & we all know what happens to bubbles."
No, Ian, just as the EU insists on the integrity of the Single Market, so we insist on the integrity of our territorial waters. We don’t defend fish, we defend the Law of the Sea, part of the rules-based international order.
For four years now, a chunk of the British media has unhesitatingly applauded any EU negotiating demand, however self-contradictory or unreasonable, while dismissing every British position as unrealistic. It has been quite an eye-opener.
