@TomRandle_Music What I particularly liked about the Violin Sonata was the clear sense of direction and purpose, with clear themes. So much classical music of the last 100 years has seemed academic but aimless, though I have heard much ruder descriptions! But also not bland. Would hear it again!
@HertMusicFest@LitsaTunnah@danielgrimwood@AllSaintsHertf Brilliant performances, a memorable concert including an actual world premiere,
of the Violin Sonata by Tom Randle. Real momentum and purpose, I would happily hear it again and I don't often feel that about modern classical music!
@TomRandle_Music@LitsaTunnah@danielgrimwood And it was well worth hearing! Fine piece, fine performance in a fine concert also featuring Debussy and Prokofiev violin sonatas.
@TomRandle_Music Was at the concert and it was a truly memorable experience. Tom Randle's violin sonata made a splendid centrepiece to sonatas by Debussy and Prokofiev and didn't suffer by comparison with those masterworks. Bravo Tom, Litsa and Daniel! Hope you can make a recording!
@DCBMEP@JamesCleverly Do many members of the Conservative Party have a death wish? Boris was ousted not just because of Partygate, but because of many other cases where he was sloppy or economical with the truth. The country, and many Conservatives, have lost trust in him. Don't forget Chris Pincher!
Good to see over 200 people at Ware Priory today for the Proclamation of Accession of King Charles III. Many have also signed the Book of Condolences at the Priory as we remember with thanks the devoted and dedicated life of our Queen. God Save the King!
R.I.P. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her life was truly one of exemplary service and dedication to all the people of this nation, and she will be remembered by me, residents of Ware and people throughout the world with love and gratitude.
@HertsMusicFest came to Ware on Saturday for a very enjoyable and imaginative concert by @EmmaHalnan and @jackhancher on flute and guitar in St Mary's Church. More events this week, lots of great music so far! Don't forget St Mary's Monday lunchtime recital with Barbara Manning.
A rousing end to the Jubilee weekend with the Miss Jones Jazz Band and @warebrass at @WarePriory. Fine music enjoyed by a large (and varied) crowd inside and outside the Conservatory. At the end we sang off the extra calories from today's street parties! #PlatinumJubilee
@Mailonlinepics@WarePriory@WareTownCouncil Thanks. Yes, this should be OK. Please let me know if you do publish any of the pictures. I avoided posting any face-on shots of children, but obviously you will judge the acceptability for any pictures with children accidentally included in the background. Kind regards, Ian Kemp
Great to see Jubilee street parties this weekend around Ware. Below is Lower Bourne Gardens and Croft Road, organised by Karen Catlin and her team. Good luck if yours is today, hope the showers hold off! Music 5-8pm at @WarePriory after yesterday's family fun day @WareTownCouncil
Our event would not be possible without our sponsors. For the second time, @EveryoneActive return as our main event sponsor.
Not signed up to one of our races yet? Places for our 10 mile, 10 km and children's races are all available on our website.

You may have noticed lots of people in orange t-shirts out in Ware today! Staff from @GSK are volunteering as part of their Orange Day programme. This gives employees a day off per year to make a difference in the local community. A big thanks to @GSK & all who are taking part👏
Into my final week as Mayor of Ware! After Sunday's book festival, we had the Annual Town Meeting on Monday and Ware @FAIRTRADE meal last night. Today @GSK volunteers were helping all round the town as part of their Orange Day, including @southernmalting. Many thanks to all!
The first ever @hertsbookfest was a great success! Books, drama, workshops, dance, and a chance to meet the authors! Hopefully the first of many🙂 Thanks to all who organised and volunteered especially Ware's The BookNook, not forgetting Elmer the elephant! #hertsbookfestival
