Day 1
Went skiing today, was good to not be stuck on getting rejected by my last internship I was waiting on. Recently I’m realizing how much of a waste me trading really was, and how much of a setback it brought me not just financially but mentally. I’ve had a complete change in how I set goals, create things, and learn since this last cycle, and it’s all just me trying to rush through and skip the hard parts of any task I set my mind to. It also doesn’t help that I lost more money than I realized I truly owned, and that’s another mental battle I’m going to have to face head on.
Between that and school it’s been a rough year to say the least. Hours of time I could have spent socializing or learning new skills were put into trading losing multiple sol every single day. I didn’t apply myself fully and instead just let myself fall into the same trap that paralyzed me in 2022.
I also found out how much I’ve started to leech off of people, where I used to be a leader in the sense that I enjoyed building on my own, and would find out and learn everything myself, I now need someone to guide me. Collaboration is great, but I can’t get anywhere on my own anymore and it sucks truly.
Right now my goals are to just finish this semester. I want to add something with a personal project of some sort or learn some new skills but in reality I should take it one step at a time. Making a llm-generated portfolio website isn’t going to get me any further in life, and constantly relying on chatbots actually makes me take steps back. Eventually I’ll be at the point where I can use these things to get me further in my development but I can’t skip steps, especially now realizing this after failing all four of my technical interviews.
I have everything else set, soft skills, resume etc. but my coding and knowledge isn’t there to show for it.
Gonna try to journal here every day on this thread.
Got cooked on internships so I ended up making a twitter account, gonna post daily thoughts and anything I think is worthwhile
How are people able to see issues in the bigger picture
I have blown up amounts of money I still can't really comprehend by just trying to flip for short term profits, and panicking anytime I saw red.
This doesn't just involve crypto though, for school and programming I face similar issues, not seeing the big picture and getting myself caught in the now. Ending up cheating or using some chatbot instead of learning.
