Just an old guy, urging on 'David' as he kicks 'Goliath' in the you-know-whats to protect the society and value system I choose to live in. Slava Ukraini!
@ThomasVLinge I told her to enjoy the war, the peace (for her) will be awful!
To be unsanctioned requires a legal challenge for annulment in the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg & she'll have to do it without Kremlin money. For her, life in post-Putin Russia will be for life.
@jimstewartson Not to be unkind, civilized democracy?π€
1: "America is the only country to go from barbarism to decadence without stopping at civilization.β
Time magazine, 25 July 1932.
(**I think the barbarism started in 1492)
2: You're a red-blue tribal society, democracy died 3+ decades ago.
@nexta_tv "Every country has the government it deserves."
Joseph de Maistre
It implies a society where citizens hold the power to vote, the political leadership inevitably reflects the collective morality, civic engagement and choices of the populace.
You made the monster, live with it.
@nexta_tv "We are the Borg. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile."
@sashameetsrus Enjoy the war Alex, the peace will be awful!
To be unsanctioned requires a legal challenge for annulment in the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg - think about what's involved & doing it without Kremlin money. No going back now, post-Putin Russia is home for life.
@nexta_tv Fantastic, a long-term and viable solution with widespread application possibilities...especially given that liquid freshwater makes up about 0.8% to 1.2% of all global water and China has roughly 20% of the world's population with only 6% to 7% of the planet's water resources.π€¦ββοΈ
@RadioFreeTom It's going to be important to explain to future generations that by 2020, 1/3 of Americans would kill another 1/3 while 1/3 watches.
...and yes, social media outrage counts as watching.
@nicolange_ The danger is, of course, with AfD support now at ~27%, there are seemingly a lot of fools out there voting in Germany....and France, and Hungary, and Poland, and Slovakia...and....βΉοΈ
@BorisJohnson I certainly don't disagree in any form, but I wonder, when you were PM, why didn't you send UKR the Β£350 million per week the UK 'saved' by leaving the EU?
What happened to that money anyway, you never sent it to the NHS?
Very gung-ho when somebody else in charge it seems.
@NikkiHaley You're a high-profile figure in a political party led by a convicted felon and rapist who is almost certainly also a paedophile - is turning off lights to save power in a city where you don't even live really worth writing ridiculous and derogatory comments about? Grow up.
@keithedwards I can confirm the veracity of this, I was vaccinated for COVID-19, several times, I died on 25 Jan 2021 and was cremated a week later, same thing on 17 July 2023 and again on 3 Sept 2025. More such occurrences are planned, will keep all concerned posted as situation evolves.
@JamesTate121 Wouldn't it be sweet if his (probable) court martial deems he's not guilty of engaging in partisan political activity but peacefully resisted blatant criminal activity undermining US national interests.
Of course, pigs would have to fly & hell freeze over for that to happen.
@nexta_tv You know - if Mexico wins the cup, Trump will certainly take it from them & have ICE deport the team & staff as illegals who tried to eat a cat in their ensuing celebration...welcome to the home of the brave & land of the free...where bravery is needed and freedom is optional.π€¦ββοΈ
@UtdStates_of_Eu@theliamnissan Agreed, it's the institutional civic bankruptcy that allows a few with a given political bent (left or right) to control the media, and with 54% of Americans reading at 6th grade level or below, critical thinking has become impossible for too many voters. It's a slippery slope.
@Jonpy99 I've always assumed the 50-80+ arty systems UKR reports as destroyed each day consist mainly of 82mm mortars etc.
You raise good qn though - both sides still burning through arty shells but SPGs (and MLRS) haven't had much public profile for a long time.
@ChrisO_wiki Given the value of drones and their operators on today's battlefield, is this indicative that at least this Russian unit lacks sufficient drones, making the otherwise under utilised operators 'more useful' as assault infantry?
@Jenkins4Florida 'Fun fact':
From 1968-2011, ~1.4 million US civilians died from guns - including suicides, homicides and accidents: 32,558 people annually.
From 1939-1945, the UK lost ~67,000 civilians: 11,166 people annually.
So, safer in London through the Blitz.οΏ½οΏ½ββοΈ
