Crocus carpet.
Middle of last week on my daily walk, bright sunshine, birds singing and the ground carpeted with Cocusses. Felt like spring was just around the corner. How wrong could I be...

Trying to hide but still spotted - a statement which could have been applied equally to the Muntjac or myself.
A picture from our local country park for #WexMondays
@winterrosephoto Vanguard model I use is just big enough for mirrorless kit, it does fit under seat as airline carry on but the minus side is putting up with a "travel" tripod. As always a compromise..
This week's bake was inspired by the Coffee and Walnut Gateaux recipe on the @Wrightsbaking website. Made up a Toffee mix with Espresso and chopped pecans covering the finished cake in coffee icing. Maybe not as Deb intended but the best Toffee Coffee Pecan cake I've ever tasted
A few spots from last weekend's walk. So lucky to live close to the Lea Valley Park. The Short Eared Owls at Enfield Lock are well known and much photographed. Robins and Stonechat are always worth watching but it's brilliant that we can now add Red Kites to our local list.
Been sat indoors looking through old pictures and realised it's #WheelieWednesday
Here's @Howie_43 and @JoshBrookes at Brands - this was obviously many years before social distancing
@Groomsickle Congratulations on the new addition, must be frustrating not being able to see the rest of your family at this time. This 2nd or is it 3rd spell of not going out is essential but it is beginning to wear us all down.
Jackdaw.
Apologies for the the shocking over-processing, could claim I was exploring my creative side but it's mostly due to being stuck indoors with too much time on my hands...

@MiradorDesign The Velvet has been on my "maybe sometime" list for a while now. Currently using a Composer Pro, one of the wobbly one's where you can swivel the optic to move the focus point around the frame. Works really well with a short extension tube and is just fun to play with.
@MiradorDesign Thank you kindly Sarah. Must admit I remember seeing some similar Japanese style pictures of Cranes a few years ago. Kinda borrowed their vibe.
Snowy Snowdrops.
The first snowfall of this Winter blankets our garden and covers what I had hoped would be an early sign of Spring. Staying really local for this week's #WexMondays
@asPhotoUK @StuieJWalker All the changes have been worthwhile, mine were planned to get the LP12 sorted before I retired. Think the biggest gain came from ditching the standard sub-chassis and armboard. Big step in focus and clarity. Happy with Stack components and couldn't afford Linn Keel/Kore.
